on the keltec website in .32 ACP
Weighing just 6.6 ounces, the P32 is designed primarily for deep concealment. The small grip size and light recoil also make it ideal for shooters of small stature. The P32 is a semi-automatic pistol chambered for the .32 Auto cartridge. With an easy, smooth trigger pull and 7+1 capacity it’s perfect for a variety of carry situations.

@@firestorm8471 I had no idea that they were hard to find, but I seldom go to gun stores to look.
So I looked on line and I see some place called Omaha outdoors has them for sale. Actually 6 different versions of it. Going down the google page were numerous other retailers. Perhaps they are not being sold in your area. I have no idea if they are available locally. My dealer had his license taken away by ATF last april. When I wanted something, I would let him know, he would look it up and call me with the price. With a CCW there is no waiting period in FL and just pay, do the background ck, and take if home.

@@firestorm8471 I ordered mine through an FFL some years ago. My impression is that you can order it they're still making it and it's one of the best guns to come out of Kel-Tec if you'll excuse the expression. Still I think my first choice would be the Seecamp with the Underwood. If I'm carrying outside of shitholes like Chicago my primary would probably be something that small.

Thanks for sharing. Very good information.
The other non Ring of Fire in 32 ACP still in production is the Keltec P32.
I have fired the Underwood 32ACP +P out of both the Seecamp and my Manurhin/Walther PP and they function fine. Couldn’t tell much difference in recoil in the Standard Pressure and the +P, I think Underwood told me it an 1/8th grain powder difference, in the Seecamp as the Standard pressure is already snappy. No “appreciable” shift in impact either. More on that later. The PP seem to like these and don’t see any evidence of damage to the gun. Recoil difference between the +P, Standard pressure Underwood and Hornady Critical Defense is negligible. The point of impact shift was more noticeable, probably because I had sights, with the +P as it shoot a little high maybe up to 1/4” high at 5 Yards. Not sure I will feed these a steady diet of +P but this will probably end up being a summer time carry selection.
Thanks again for your videos and information. It is one of the reasons I end up with a LWS32 for lightweight carry.

Great test! My thoughts: Fmj after 4 layers of denim travels about 16-17" in gel out of a mouse gun. While the disruption on the defender ammo is more impressive, im not sure that it is worth the trade for a tomcat sized gun as additional penetrative force may be required to reach vitals and over penetration is less of a concern on shorter barrels.

To anyone that wants to carry a 32 ACP for defense with hollow points or any other round that is NOT a round nose FMJ design:
Check the overall length of the cartridge you wish to carry. If the cartridges overall length is shorter than a round nose (stand them up next to each other and see if one is 0.050’’ or so shorter than the other) you may, depending on the length of you magazine, experience rim lock The 32 ACP is a semi rimmed cartridge and that tiny bit of rim can catch the rim below it in the mag and lock the bullets in the mag in place making it impossible for the pistol to pick up a round once the cartridge in the chamber has been fired. Seecamp pistols were/are made with magazine designed specifically for the Winchester Silver tip hollow point so they rarely have any type of issue with hollow points. However, the Beretta 81 series, KelTec P32, Walther PPK's, PPK & PP and many of the ring of fire zinc alloy guns all can have issues with short overall length cartridges. KeTec used to sell a kit for shooting hollow points in the P32 which was basically just a spacer. You may be able to recreate this yourself if needed. The rim lock issue (when present) will often happen after the pistol has been carried for somewhere between hours and weeks in which the cartridges have moved in the magazine fore and aft due to the handgun being bounced by body movement. If it happens on the range its a PITA but if it happens when you really need that 2nd round it can be deadly.

I was reading that European ball has softer shoulders on the rims and is designed for self-defense in magazine fed pistols.
My Kel-Tec with the standard magazine seemed to be fine especially with European Ball but once I tried the 10 round magazine at least throwing it in a box in my trunk and riding some thousands of miles that one did rim lock- that may have been American ammo also.
I also worked with a gunsmith to make a flyer wire but but the wire would never really function consistently keeping the rounds in order .

      @frankbrowning328 ปีที่แล้ว

@@alexfresel6198 ball ammo is generally all the same basic length and functions well through most any 32 ACP pistol. The problem of rim lock occurs with ammo that is shorter in overall length than standard ball/FMJ ammo

I have the Kel-Tec p32 now currently being repaired. It's ugly but functional reliable and one of my favorite guns to carry.
Like Browning 32 is one of my favorite cartridges. You can put it in a platform small enough to carry in the pocket or deep concealed for normal sized people. More power and reliability than the 22LR and far less recoil than the 380 which ought to be in a more Glock 42 sized platform anyway.
I'm thinking of getting the Seecamp next.
Thanks for the review of the Underwood. If I ever come back to the States for a while I'll probably order a couple of boxes and carry that.

I have a Zastava 32acp and a Bersa 32acp. Possibly another on or two thrown back in drawers somewhere. I normally carry a 45 but these do make good back up guns, and I wouldn't necessarily feel under armed carrying either one by itself. The grip on both of them is a little short for my taste but both shoot excellent. The Zastava is a little more accurate than the Bersa.

Those rough knife makers fingers show the progression of .32acp a bit further than would be expected. Maybe the aging .32 guys are right. Maybe not. Either way, i would not care to be shot with one. I do kinda have a thing for the .32s. Im not elderly so maybe the .32 guys will continue. I realize this is annoying to the why doesn't everyone carry a 9mm glock 19 guys but perhaps thats what inspired this illness to begin with. .32acp also penetrates.

I have two CZ-70's in 7.65 Browning and a Mahurin Walther PP also in 7.65 Browning. .32 ACP is similar but not exactly the same, 7.65 Browning is usually loaded with heavier 73-77gr bullets and higher pressure than .32 acp. US tends to load the .32 acp with 71 gr .312 bullets and European stuff is loaded with .308 bullets. I can't load .312 71 gr fmj into cases and get them to chamber cause the bulge and wont chamber. I size all my bullets to .308 and they work fine. I size my cases with a Lee "Undersized" .32 Auto FL Sizer. Regular sizer dies won't hold the .308 bullets. I use Berry's .312 71 gr fmj's resized to .308 and Everglades' 85gr fmj's also sized to .308. Grafs and sons sells .308 PPU 71gr HP's, got some of those too. As range toys they are fun and accurate. The Walther is much better ergonomically. The Little Beretta Tomcats are ammo restricted to I think 130 ftlbs cause of frame cracking. Europe used the 7.65's as Police/Military guns up the late 80's to good effect. Research Heavy bullets in .32 acp. I shoot and reload/cast .32 SW/.32 HR Mag with several Smith & Wesson and Taurus revolvers also. www.taurusarmed.net/threads/range-report-taurus-731.446940/?post_id=5902530&nested_view=1&sortby=oldest#post-5902530 / www.waltherforums.com/threads/range-report-7-65-and-380-manurhin-pp-french-st-etienne-walther-license.133001/?post_id=1334289#post-1334289
