Scavenging for free fishing tackle on the beach - I found £££s of Free Weights, UK Sea Fishing

Found £££s worth of valuable free fishing tackle on the beach - I managed to scavenge grip weights, plain weights, swivels, beads, links, lures, jigs, booms and other components. With a big spring tide, areas of the beach not normally exposed revealed heaps of old fishing tackle and I had a lovely refreshing walk at the same time. Also, seeing the beach on these spring low tides also allows you...

    It's too bad more companies aren't offering a variety of bailess spinning reels, especially for freshwater fishing. Yeah, it's a little more work, but the design is much better overall.

    Nicely done mate! It looks like you had a really good session on the North Shore. I hope to be visiting Llandudno for some mackerel spinning fairly soon (Once I hear reports of the mackerel showing there), let's hope that I can have as good a session as you just had! I have to agree that hauling mackerel out on a 15 foot broom stick with a car winch and tow rope while chucking out half a pound of lead and a string of feathers that resemble a set of Christmas decorations is no fun or pleasure at all, by far much better to spin for them on light gear and enjoy the sport!

    • @anglersbureau
      @anglersbureau 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, I’d say so, but I’m basing this on what you’re likely to catch in a UK situation. You could go lighter still, but a 7-21g rod might help for slightly larger fish.

      Yeah it's just because I want to dropshot for flounder or Pollock in the sea as well. What lures could I use with this rod?
