Mackerel Fishing on Light Gear using Metal Jigs

A lot of hard fighting mackerel using my LRF tackle and a 10g Jigpara micro jig. Equipment list (video not sponsored):

Nicely done mate! It looks like you had a really good session on the North Shore. I hope to be visiting Llandudno for some mackerel spinning fairly soon (Once I hear reports of the mackerel showing there), let's hope that I can have as good a session as you just had! I have to agree that hauling mackerel out on a 15 foot broom stick with a car winch and tow rope while chucking out half a pound of lead and a string of feathers that resemble a set of Christmas decorations is no fun or pleasure at all, by far much better to spin for them on light gear and enjoy the sport!

Excellent session, and the right fishing set-up to enjoy it properly.
A telephone pole with a car winch on the end of it isn't fishing. Can't beat light gear and single spinners.
