You're right about Bass being such beautiful fish.
Being from North Wales myself I too am very lucky being no more than an hour from excellent Bass venues.
The legal limit is of course 2 fish per person per day above 42cm, but this year I only took 2 for the table after catching maybe 100.

I suffer terribly with my hands getting cold.
Sounds like we both have Raynards disease.
When you said 2 hours down and 2 hours up does that mean the last 2 hours of the ebb and first 2 hours of the flood?

Yep, I can remember in my young teens with numb hands waiting for my Dad to pick me up from a days fishing - there were no mobile phones in those days for an early pick up, just had to stick it out! That's right, 2 hours down and 2 up. By around the start of the second hour into the flood the tide was racing and unmangeable.

@@anglersbureau It doesn't get any easier as you get older does it!
I'm ok when I get the core temp up but as soon as the hands get wet or the cold wind that's it, the fingers go white tipped and painful.
Same story for me regarding the lack of mobile phones and had to stick it out.
I'm 40 now so it's not that long ago really.
I generally lure fish for Bass as it gives me ample opportunity to keep on the move and raise that core temperature.
That's why I can catch so many of them in a season.
If I relied on bait fishing exclusively then it wouldn't be so many per season.

Great video again do you prefer to fish that venue at low water or how do you find it best fishes

Thanks very much. Always a few hours either side of low for me. Never tried at high. Can be very difficult to impossible when the tide is full flood or ebb .

Have you thought about getting a Whitby hand warmer, works for me.

    • @anglersbureau
      @anglersbureau  ปีที่แล้ว

I did have some small Zippo handwarmers but I just need to get a replacement part for both. How long does the Whitby's heat last?

@@anglersbureau 6-8 hours,my fingers go white in the cold...a whitby in the pocket sorts it out, don't buy on line, cheaper in go outdoors or blacks
