GEN3 4RUNNER HOOD LATCH FIX (FOR NOW)
If your hood won't close its because part of the latch isn't returning the pull cable to the "allow to close position" or "cable reset isn't activating". There's 2 moving plates present. 1 for the cable and the other for the latch itself. Depress the smaller plate to reset the cable and the hood will now close. Might be time to head ro the junk yard and buy a used working latch with a working cable reset. A spring might be missing in this latch OR the plastic cable pull handle may have some sort of bad spring. not sure which one it is. In a pinch this is how you can close your hood. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

BMW 6 Series Windshield Sprayer not working FIXED!

You can remove the elbow connection below the sprayer. No need to unplug and remove it from its holder. You might break it like I did! Instead take the brake cleaner tube and tape it to the nipple.1 or 2 sprays and it will unclog it like mine. Then blow it out w compressed air. Thanks for watching!
BMW 645CI Brake Sensor Replacement Hack. Broken tab. Unable to Remove

So you're at the point of your brake pad replacement and you go to disconnect the brake sensor and the plastic connector (on the car) begins to crumble as you press the release clip. This is what I had to do to remove the worn brake sensor. hope this helps someone out!
Gen 3 4Runner TPS replacement
มุมมอง 392ปีที่แล้ว
Since this is a Japanese vehicle it uses JS 2 Phillips head. Do not attempt to remove the screws that hold the TPS sensor. You will strip them for sure. GUARANTEED!! Use a small pair of vise grips to break then free first then yiu can use a Phillips P2 screwdriver, a shorty. You'll have to move the heater hose out of the way for more clearance.

Water shut off valve replacement olive removal with dremel tool

Replacing your old leaking compression water valve? Yes you can carefully cut the olive ring with a dremel especially in tight areas where a hacksaw will not work. Count the passes! That's the trick! After 59 passes you should be more then 3/4" through the olive ring. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

ZX7R Slow to start, weak start. FIXED!

If you have a new battery and your ZX7R takes several turns to start it may not only be the battery but also the NEG cable for the battery to the engine. The OEM NEG cable is not tinned like the POS cable is. My OEM NEG had green corrosion. This corrosion may impede the flow of electrons. If you have a 90-03 (cable is 18-31 yrs old!!!) that is slow to start fix it by changing our the NEG Batter...

As these bikes age they tend to become finicky. A lot of times people think it's the battery, junction box, starter solenoid, bad grounds etc. If you find that after lightly tapping the junction box the bike fires up....it's going to be the start button. I did not show the disassembly or reassembly but I do show how to clean the contact points. Fired right up after that. Thanks for watching.

If you're getting a "Tail light failure" warning on your dash here is the problem and the way to fix it! The problem is the tabs either make connect or they don't. I agree it's related to power, but I'm not sure it is with the button, though. I too have the same problem sometimes. When it 'clicks', I turn off the lights so the battery has more power available for either the starter relay, or the starter itself. Since the starter motor was replaced not so long ago, I think it's the starter relay all along.

    • @frankmaggio4328
      @frankmaggio4328 หลายเดือนก่อน

@edmondvanas2710 Thanks for watching. It can be the starter but all the connections need to he checked. The contact for the button does need to be cleaned since it's exposed to water when it rains. Over time it causes corrosion at the contact point. I also replaced the ground wire. That also helped. Thanks for watching and I'm glad the starter was your culprit. :)

Frank I'll give you the secret, and everyone else. Position the circlip with the open end at the 12 o'clock position - once the splines mate up, it should slip right in by hand or maybe a gentle tap. Same thing coming apart - if it's giving you grief releasing just turn an 1/8 of a turn at a time and pull - once that clip is in the 12 o'clock open end up it will release!

I was lucky and I scored a geniune OEM brake sensor for $11 on ebay. Be careful with aftermarket brake sensors. Some people complained that the sensor didn't read after installing it. I know it's not the best video but if you pull and the plastic begins to break apart.... break out the Dremel like I did. You'll see what I mean when you do it. BMW went with cheaper ABS plastic then on my 96 328i. That's what I was trying to see in the video. Thank for watching!

That seems to get an effective crimp, but I'd probably want to run a high amperage voltage drop test on it (and also check for heating). MIght work good when your options are limited. I probably have a couple thousand dollars invested in crimping tools, but my favorite is one of those Hammer Lug Crimpers you can get for about $14. If you hit it hard enough, you get a great cold weld. It's epecically useful because every manufacturer of cable lug seems to use a different wall thickness, and not every 4 AWG wire is actually 4 AWG.
