ZX7R Slow to start, weak start. FIXED!

If you have a new battery and your ZX7R takes several turns to start it may not only be the battery but also the NEG cable for the battery to the engine. The OEM NEG cable is not tinned like the POS cable is. My OEM NEG had green corrosion. This corrosion may impede the flow of electrons. If you have a 90-03 (cable is 18-31 yrs old!!!) that is slow to start fix it by changing our the NEG Battery cable!

I’m a little confused, all you did was remove the factory wire and replace it with a new wire?

Yes. Exactly. Mine OEM neg wire was oxidized. As you can it made a. difference. This bikes are bad with the wiring. Thanks for watching!

So where did you re ground the bike negative wire to if you removed it from the engine ground location ?
