- I picked up these 1996 Rockford Fosgate RFR 1410 Subwoofers. They were dirty. Cleaned up pretty nicely. Now to buy cork surround gasket material for the complete face lift restoration.

Anything clean up should bring more money it looks like it's been taken care of. I'm surprised the foam is not dry rotted even though it's easy to redo alcohol and a vacuum cleaner would also work to clean up. I'm sure you no you can redo the foam for about20$ I do them quit a bit as long as the coil is good and what ever you do the dust cap can stay on as long as you keep checking for center while install. I have a pair of kicker right now I'm redoing but I'm not sure on how to do the foam because of the sticking on them if you have any ideas it will help thanks . great clean up job 90s still live✌️👌👍boom
Second gen Power subs have rubber surrounds, that's why they aren't dry rotted. :)
great video nice subs my fav series i like and think this series sound better then the hx2 in my opinion i have pair of RFR 2212 12in power dvc subs and looking for another pair wouldent mine finding 15s in this series to
Thanks for watching my video. I 'm currently running 2 P3 12s , 1 cf foot each. I am definitely going to go back to pulp cone subs. Way different sound in comparison to aluminum cones. The P3 have twice the Xmas but the RFR and RFD subs sound "warmer" to me. I had Hx2 12 and they had pulp cones as well. I'm going to make another video for the RFR1812 soon once I'm back in Utica, NY.
@@frankmaggio4328 nice im currently running 3 12in wolframs 300 ounce magnets 2000rms and 12 thousand watt rms amp in a 8 cf foot box but ready to pull the old school rockfords out and put a differnt system togeather
I have 3 rfr 2212 and rhe 4th one is coming in 2 days! the first 2 are MINT. the 3rd does have a tiny puncture. the one that's coming is also MINT
