Very cool I was waiting to see somebody else do this haha I like your brushless set up I might upgrade mine with one of them
Loving this channel. Now I'm looking into a lc80
Brasil 🚜👍
I have beat the living hell out of these axles the only thing I have been able to break at all on the original aluminum first set was two screws in the link Riser and thank goodness I was able to get them out put steel I feel like that should be a replaceable link Riser instead of a mate on link Riser cuz that can really get you in a pickle or you can never use the truck
@@gibsonlife573 Definitely an over built axle, I think the built in link riser looks cleaner, but I do see your point about having a replaceable one, much easier to just swap it out in the event screw breaks off in there!
110% agree with you there's nothing out there that compares to scx24
@@gibsonlife573 Yeah lots of competitors these days, but there is something awesome about the SCX24. It is the truck that ignited the current micro crawler movement after all! Thanks for your comment 👍
Amazing amazing work bud
Thank you very much sir!
Great Build idea, thanks for sharing it. Keep up the great work.
@@oknights112 Thanks mate, much appreciated and thanks for your comment!
Fun looking rig I have that motor and I hate it I will replace the esc I’m excited for the difference thank you for your suggestion 🤘✌️
@@shawnrichardson118 No worries mate! I have two of these little motors now running off the Dinky RC D-Drive Micro Sport 25amp ESC's and while there is definitely better motors out there this is the only one that I know of that directly replaces a brushed 050 motor! Thanks for your comment!
Nice build
Much appreciated, thanks for your comment!
Oh. My. Gosh. I have an FCX24 I wanted to do something with and I now have my next project...YES!
@@joepilimai4604 Which FCX24m did you go with? They come in a few wheelbases and may not be a straight swap like this was! Thanks for watching!
The power wagon. 132mm I think axle to axle. If it’s not a pure fit I can tinker with the best of em and am not worried about needing a few extra parts.
Fair enough, this vehicle is built on the FCX24m platform, which is different to the FCX24 Power Wagon. The "m" version is smaller and has a ton of compatibility with the SCX24, the transmission/skid bolts right up with no mods! The original FCX24 Power Wagon won't bolt straight up.
@@havikhobbies good to know but I am willing to give it a go....looking forward to the challenge and if it becomes too much I will "have" to buy a fcx24m, my wife will understand....sorta LOL
😂 That's the way!
Great video 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching!
Awesome little build you have done there 😊 thanks for sharing 👍
@@tomwright943 Thanks mate! I'm stoked with how the build turned out, it's so much fun! Thanks for your comment 👍
@@havikhobbies No worries bud, I've built an SCX24 crawling oriented version, yours looks like it's more fun than mine. I have a question about the front links...... are they a couple of mm longer than the SCX24 front links? I'm only going from memory (as I don't have mine to hand) but your front wheels look so much better in relation to your arches👍
@tomwright943 This truck has about the same wheelbase as an SCX24 C10 but the front and rear links look about equal length where as the C10 has shorter links up front. So yes the front axle does end up pushed forward slightly.
@@havikhobbies that's awesome, thanks for the reply, I'm seriously considering doing similar to what you have done there, thanks for the inspiration too👍
No problem mate!
love this little truck, impressive 👌😀😀👍👍
@@rcplaytime Thanks mate! Much appreciated 👍
Woot Woot, hes back! Epic intro man, that was some sick air. This is a really awesome build dude, well thought out and looks like it turned out amazing.
Thanks Durp, it's been a fun build and it's even more fun to drive! Thanks for hanging out mate!
I was this 🤏 close to soldering mine to the Dinky ESC. But then that Injora Fat Viper dropped and I ended up soldering that to the esc instead. If they ever come back in stock ill probably go the route you did but keeping it completely stock for class one rig. Id love to see this combo in a deadbolt.
@@wvlfkvnt Yeah fair enough, I set mine up with 2mm bullet connectors so it's plug and play. This little motor definitely works better In lighter builds, it's no torque monster. I have a slightly modified deadbolt here in the fleet I might be able to swap it into for testing! Thanks for your comment 👍
@@havikhobbies dropped a sub for ya. Nice channel. 👊
@@wvlfkvnt Well thanks mate! I do appreciate it 🤜
We need a build video! I've been waiting for someone to make a ultra 4 mb24
I just got done editing the video, just have to make a thumbnail and should have it up in the next couple of days! Thanks for your comment! EDIT: Change of plans, the video is NOW live!
Nice! They call it the Evo Pro.. j/k 😂. Looking forward to the breakdown.
Thanks! This little rig is a blast, hopefully I'll get the chance to share some more soon!
Just got mine delivered a few minutes ago, looking forward to playing with. it..I do plan on making a indoor course for when the outside temps get too cold.👍🏼
@@ecj272 Nice! Which SCX24 did you go with? It's a lot of fun to build indoor courses out of random household items!
Got the Blue Gladiator, was on sale for $99. I use to own the Axial Wraith had loads of fun with that rig and will have the SCX6 Jeep delivered in the next few days as well. As a side note, I've been out of the hobby for several years and have decided to jump back in, in a big way(no pun intended) both with the scx24 and the scx6 and time along with finances will tell where it'll take me this time around🤞🏼
Wow that's awesome, two great rigs! I had been out of the hobby for many years also and it was the SCX24 that got me interested again. Also wish I didn't sell my Wraith!
Just curious, where did u get the screw set. Ive been looking for a micro set for my screws
I think it's a hobby park screw for the SCX24 from Amazon if I recall correctly, it's been a minute!
Just got the Injora Buggy and yours is super clean. I like what you've done!
@@kyleduncan2648 Thanks mate, much appreciated. These little buggies are a ton of fun!
I wonder what other brushless ESCs could be used. Finding that sweet spot between price and performance.
I feel like the Dinky RC or a Furitek Lizard Pro on sale is pretty much the best bang for the buck. If your on a super tight budget, I'd probably just stick to one of the many awesome brushed motors available!
Thanks for the tip. Gonna fix my worm gear now.
@@edwinheld3772 No problems mate! I'm glad I could help out 👍
Is it possible to Not vent and Not foam insert. Just Air pressure sealed ?
@@JamesDirtRC Yep you can do that and it does work ok from my limited testing, my biggest problem when trying that was that eventually some of the air would squish out and you have a flat tire, them you have to unscrew the rin to let the air back in!
To be fair, the wheel speed is no fault of the motor and has everything to do with the number of turns. The more turns equals less RPM's. Naturally the Injora is going to have more wheel speed because of less turns. It would have been nice to see two equal motors with the same turns go head to head. Both motors are getting great reviews. The Injora 55T is doing great as well.
@@skipmiller8309 Both motors are great, I know I wasn't comparing apples to apples however some people like videos that help them decide between apples and oranges! Thanks for your comment 👍
@@havikhobbies It was very helpful and informative. The run video was great. People can really see how each one handles slow and fast. Nice Job!
Thanks mate I appreciate the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
👍🏻🔝
Great job. I was to scrap mine but now it is a great option for tighter builds❤
@@dadada435 Yeah the controller isn't great, but the motor is gold! I bought another one for a different project! Thanks for your comment 👍
Great video got me to subscribe 🤘✌️
@@shawnrichardson118 Nice! Glad you liked the video, and thanks for the sub 👍
You cant turn lights on and of with can 3 or 4
@@jakeshaffer7572 Sure you can, I have several of these set up to turn lights on/off with one of the spare channels, you do need to use an RX controlled switch to power the lights though. Something like this works great! www.ebay.com/itm/156225552111?itmmeta=01J3Y2VYHC50G1E6XZ0EZS2W1R&hash=item245fc4beef:g:8WAAAOSwvv5mUi8S

The exact video I'm looking for my LC80 . Thankyou
@@cyberspyder6123 I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks so much for your comment 👍
Ive seen you got a trx4m too, a bronco, it's been a couple months from this video, how would you compare it to the traxxas? I'm deciding between one of those but i'm quite a mess atm, trx looks more beefy, im planning to upgrade to the bones the one i get, i'll be doing mostly trails and some light crawling.. Thanks!
The TRX4M is easier to work on, the Bronco can be quite capable with some mods and HobbyTown stores often have lots of upgrades and spares. The FCX18 has a better slow crawl right out of the box but it's a bit tall/tippy without mods. Both are fun and capable of trailing and crawling. I'd pick the one that looks better to you!
If you have problems with the throttle trigger not staying in the proper center, use two rubber bands... one around the handle and one double wrapped around the the front of it. Make sure one end of both rubber bands is around the throttle trigger... one per part of the trigger.
I've never had that issue, but thanks for the heads up 👍
Great video, planning on getting one of these for my boys soon ;) What's that grey monster in the background at the start?
@@chuddledollops Thanks! The little monster truck is an SCX24 C10 with a Mofo RC Tijacker titanium chassis and Mofo RC Monster truck wheels/tires 👍
wowwwww that is buttery with a stock esc!! that underdrive helps but that mofo low speed control from a brushed motor is just mindblowing 🤯
Yeah it's a pretty decent option, if you want to stick with stock esc! Thanks for your comment!
I love them for the simplicity and availability of affordable spare parts (mainly from Injora, i am in Europe and they send without shipping costs and for some reason i never pay customs fees, i absolutely love their parts always include lots of screws and mounting materials).
I agree mate, simple, fun with loads of upgrade options! Thanks for your comment!
Where do u buy all the parts
@@IceWollowNut I just made them out of stuff I had lying around the workshop, the video wasn't intended to be a buyers guide but rather to show how I went about things and hopefully give some ideas. Thanks for watching and for your comment!
That's one clean rig. Very well put together
Thank you!
Excellent review, thank you for posting .
@@Oldynotgoody73 No problem, Thanks for watching!
You make a lot of great points and a compelling argument! Subscribed! 👍✌️
Haha thanks mate!
Love those SCX24s! Another thing that wasn't mentioned was the amount of space( for multiple rigs)you will have with 1/24th scale versus 1/10 scale. MIDWID!
That's true, these little guys are space savers for sure!
Imagine if they came up with a dig kit. Drreeaams!
Yes I've been waiting for as scx24 transmission with a rear drive disconnect! That would be epic!
Maybe its because i have overdrive in the front…. But in a super slow crawl, my rig cogs and jerks slightly on flat ground. Iv tried so much in the app to fine tune it and it hasnt changed. Great video tho man!
Depending on how much overdrive, and if your driving on higher traction surfaces the drive train will definitely bind a little loading the motor up. You could take the front drive shafts out and drive it on a flat surface to see if that's the culprit. Thanks for watching!
Nice review, thank you. The new FCX24m might just make this setup relevant..
Thanks mate! Yeah it's definitely a setup that could be useful for some trucks, mainly when space is a concern and you need an ultra compact brushless motor. It actually crawls very well, I'm impressed with it!
@@havikhobbies still easy to find at that sub $50 price too.
Yeah I'd imagine they will clear them all out at that price because the system was not a good seller!
Just ordere one. Going into the" Cat!" Thanks for the video bro niiiice...
