    Super cool build! 1st carbon railed slayer I've seen, very nice!

      Thanks man! I really love the Slayer Chassis and wanted to celebrate it with the custom rails!

    Awesome build! I really enjoy the build process on the carbon fiber rail.

      Thank you! I wasn't sure if this kind of thing was any interest to the community?

      @@havikhobbies I'd love to get the pattern for those rails you made. Even just a scan on a flat bed scanner with a scale to calculate sizes. I'd love to build a pair out of G10 that I'd make myself, or TIG weld some out of stainless with an integrated tube cage. But with some personal ideas/ tweaks I've been rolling in my head. Don't want to rip off Josh. If anything amazing came out of it, I'd send a unit to Josh to check out and produce and sell, if he liked. (Not that I could come close to his 1/24th scale brilliance!)
      Have you got a new favourite beyond the carb. rails?

    Is there room in the slayer to run the pancake flipped?

    • @havikhobbies
      @havikhobbies  ปีที่แล้ว

      Your mean with the Pancake towards the rear of the vehicle? That would be a negative, the way the cage slopes down towards the back means there is not enough space back there. The only way I see the SMP working is forward facing like how I've got mine. The Mofo aluminum forward mound is really nicely done!

      @@havikhobbies yeah only problem I wanted to run my battery upfront so think I’m gonna scrap the pancake motor and throw in the micro Komodo.

    Good stuff I've been thinking about getting a piece of carbon to make some rails ..what thickness did you use?

    • @havikhobbies
      @havikhobbies  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used 1.5mm carbon fiber. There is an Amazon link in the description to the product I purchased.
