What you can't see here is the warranty behind the product. I don't have any experience with channel locks warranty process, but I haven't heard anything bad. Sk on the other hand is much more challenging under new management. Stanley proto has awesome customer service. Just say the tools broken, give them your address and within a week a new replacement is there no questions asked.

Appreciate the brief review! Surprised at how few videos are on TH-cam for the YXZ. Would you share a front view of how you mounted yours? I assume with an OEM roof, the S&B will not fit above the cage and will need to be installed like yours.

Mine developed a little play after few uses. I removed the slide and looked inside and saw some metal shavings towards the end of the housing. I blow those out with air gun. Not sure if this little play matters since when I clamp the piece in there everything is stable and not moving.

I really appreciate American craftsmanship! I've some European and Japanese tools too. But American tools are usually bulky and heavy duty. The SK have these flush fasteners slip-joint's that are made by Wilde Tool company. Also they have the Western Forge models that were offered by Craftsman in the past.

I just got one of these vises two days ago (12-30-23). It’s actually 4 1/2”, and it’s a great vise, much better than their cheaper line. They even had a coupon for it for the end of the year.

Those cornwells are german witte brand and yes that brand is great but I also have a vessel ball grip and has insane screw grip and is even better than my German witte’s. If it’s Japanese you need a JIS but idk if that applies to American made Japanese vehicles. Definitely a must have if you own anything Japanese.

I saw a TH-cam short of a hillbilly using one for everything. I got a 5 inch bremen this morning. I did not know how useful they are with crude knife making on a bench grinder.

I have this set and use em on an impact driver. they hold up fine.

Thanks for taking the time to show all the small differences. The but length on the Tekton is a nice bonus for getting at recessed holes.

I warm the handle with a heat gun to pry it off the screwdriver shaft, then warm again & tap it into bit driver. When the handle cools, it forms around the bit driver shaft. Never loosens.

About to order a set, got 3 snap on sets at work and 1 with a soft grip, would like some for the house or truck though
