I needed to update my slip joint pliers and noticed two of these brands seem to be of the same manufacturer and look exactly like the Wilde brand slip joint pliers.
I really appreciate American craftsmanship! I've some European and Japanese tools too. But American tools are usually bulky and heavy duty. The SK have these flush fasteners slip-joint's that are made by Wilde Tool company. Also they have the Western Forge models that were offered by Craftsman in the past.
What you can't see here is the warranty behind the product. I don't have any experience with channel locks warranty process, but I haven't heard anything bad. Sk on the other hand is much more challenging under new management. Stanley proto has awesome customer service. Just say the tools broken, give them your address and within a week a new replacement is there no questions asked.
I have a slip-joint pliers from Diamond Tool and Horseshoe Co., forged in USA. It is a conventional design, so I ordered the S-K 7207 because it seems to be an interesting variation. I am buying a few S-K tools in light of the recent sale to Great Star, because I want tools made in the USA. After a year or so, we still don’t know what is happening with S-K.
I bought two SK pliers and they looked great when I first got them, but they began to rust rather quickly. No more SK tools! Channelocks best fit the money, but Kinipex are the best overall, but very expensive!
It seems to me that if your tools are rusting, you aren’t taking care of them. Maybe you live in a humid environment, in which case you will need to take steps tp protect things which can rust. A little superficial rust doesn’t matter much, though.

They seem to made for Tekton too. And I think some Snap-On models like 208CCP.
Tekton also has US mfd slip joint pliers, I have SK, Channellock, and Tekton. Of the three, I prefer the blue handles by far.
S-k tools are made in the USA by ideal tools for s-k in sycamore IL.
