- It was a rainy weekend day and I was out in my shop so I decided to make a custom 1/4 Spinner Handle from a old Craftsman acetate handle screwdriver I found in the bottom of a old rusted out tool box.
Most cool. I like how you have an open mind to making your own tools. I would not have thought to do that.
Thank for your video, I have a set of Australian made screwdrivers with acetate handles I want to restore and after watching your video I got the handles off no problem so I could remove the rust inside them. They’re coming up like new. Cheers Stuart 🇦🇺
I’m along with you, I love the old Craftsman Screwdrivers with those handles. I just bought a Standard and Phillips, 5 piece sets that were on sale at Ace for $5 a set.
yeah cool project but i don't see a point for myself when you can buy a driver with 1/4 recess on back of handle for $6 on amazon. if i need a longer driver, just add extension.
It's too bad they never offered an actual 1/4 spinner handle with the female drive in the end.
Fyi a spinner handle has the female drive in the end, a driver handle does not.
they did

I've only ever seen the driver handle.
I always assumed they had to have offered one because it's just logical, but I've just never seen one.
@@TylerSnyder305 believe # 43371 had the female square in handle, 43372 was without. The word "Spinner" is right on the handle of 43372 though.
@@TylerSnyder305 The newer "vintage" craftsman spinner with the female end is 43393
