เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 11 ต.ค. 2020
Hello and welcome to my channel, Tacoma Mod XELA. My name is Alex and this channel is dedicated to my 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro DIY Overlanding Build. I have never experienced off-roading and this year, 2021, will be my first time to experience it. In this channel, I intend to share all of my build upgrades, modifications and installs done on my truck and hope that you and I can both learn and benefit from this channel and my Tacoma journey.
On the sidelines, I'm searching for ways to improve upon my terrible vocabulary and enunciation skills. I hope that by doing these videos, I am able to better myself and overcome a weakness.

Why not ..
I took off a topper and clipped the brake light wire from it. Got in the 2022 Tacoma and "Brake Override Malfunction" . This video surely save me time and money as it was the exact fuse this gentleman spoke of. FYI, when clipping wires like from a topper in this case, they must be done 1 at a time and not together as I did causing this fuse to blow. .

Went from a 05 Silverado LS V8 5.3L which Expired on April 1st in a Cemetery easement, an the 21 TRD Taco Sport 4x4 was calling my name at the Toyota dealership in the parking lot! When someone is behind me an has their turn signals going an don't notice, I will flash mine a few times an repeat an usually they get it, not always!~ Cup holder at 3:21 is for a coffee cup, so it is not all bouncing around, and the handle can be put through the slot, saw it on another video. Not sure if it is a all TRD feature, the remote start, Press Lock 2 times an then hold an it will start, and to get in with it still running, press unlock on the remote, an then start as normal with it running
05? Wow, that's impressive. Anyway, quite a change from your V8 5.3L. Thanks for your input and enjoy your Taco!
Well not when ya used to a 3.5L when ya owned a 98 grand am, then moved to the 5.3L V8 05 Silverado then back to a 3.5L V6 21 Taco. But the ECT helps while driving.

Great review my friend. I have a ZR2 Silverado and was looking at the Bora Spacers but they run 400.00 for the 4 piece set. KSP caught my eye and they seems to have great reviews. Looking to get the 1.5 inch just to get rid of that tucked in look, nothing else. Thank you for your informative video.

@@modXELA Gracias Amigo, thanks for the tip and for responding. I'm located in Naples Florida, we have no mountains or hills, we are completely flat.
Did you notice that there wasn’t really enough slack for the wires from light to light? I couldn’t tie wrap them properly so they’re not showing near the windshield. I would prefer there was enough slack to secure them properly under the hood
@@savg1540 good point but I actually prefer it a little tight just like that even with my Gastr fully extended they’re just enough slack. it’s a small gauged wire, it will be flapping quite a bit if it’s loose.

Did you notice any difference in your engine performance after cleaning MAF sensor?
I think this is maybe a stupid question but if the sensors are working correctly one sensor will have a lit up amber light and the other sensor will have a green lit up light? Or do both sensors need to have green lit up lights showing?
@@marymainville4214 you’re right, one should be green and the other is amber.
Yes it helped me very much. Mine was doing the same thing. Thank you .
Hey Charles, I'm glad this helped. Thanks for tuning in. Stay safe!
DID YOU USE THE NUTS THAT CAME WITH IT OR HAVE TO BUY DIFFERENT ONE?
Hey JuanManuel, I bought the extended lugs. The other ones only give you about 3 turns so I wouldn't risk it.
Thanks for a great install video and this follow up! I was wondering about the need for a winch mount plate, I didn't see you install one. The bumper rating is 10k lbs. I'm seeing differnet opinions on the need for a plate. What are your thoughts?
Hey liftjockey, IMO, the mount plate would be redundant in this case as the bumper guard already has mounting brackets already built-in. Thanks for tuning into my channel, much appreciated!

I want to purchase 1” spacers for my 2020 TRD PRO. I plan on buying 285 75R16 tires. Would you be able to lead me to which specific extension lug nuts to buy ?!
Make sure to buy hub centric spacers. Anyway, I checked forums and couldn't find any discussions on using extended studs with 1" spacers unfortunately. There's a chance that the spacers will already come with extended lugs so check the vendor first. On this note, I also sent a query to Bora and KSP for their input. Will share once I hear back.

Useful video. My engine block has old oil on the sides, and I wonder if it will remove it.”
It's pretty strong stuff but I can't say for sure if it will get rid of it totally. Maybe you can apply it a couple of times and see if that works but generally, it does a good job.
You state that you are installing a 24" light bar? I thought the bumper only fits a 20".
Hi aspiringpro! That's correct. The lightbar as advertised says 24" but in reality, it's shorter than that. Best way to put it is that it's like buying 2"x4"x8' lumber, it's actually 1.5″x3.5″x8'. I hope this helps.
Hello friend...how many watts?
Hey there... unfortunately, this is not specified on either the product website or on the actual product packaging. My best guess based on the lumens (3600), it will be between 12-15 watts per LED strip. This comes in 3 strips but I decided to only install 2 strips. I hope this helps my friend and thanks for supporting my channel.
That's a LOT OF LIGHTS...😊 Can't miss ya especially at night!!!

Do you think a 1.5” space and a 2” f lift on 265/75r16 will rub on a 2019 Tacoma?
Does anyone make a bumper similar to the Body Armor that doesn't require you to cut the OEM bumper?
Hi travblurr8043, I'm sure you did plenty of searching but I don't think it exists. I wanted to avoid all the cutting as well but I couldn't find one that looks similar to the BA or DV8 etc. However, if you Google "Toyota bumper guard" you'll see some that don't require cutting but they don't look anywhere close to this look. Good luck with your search and thanks for tuning into my channel!
How do you PROPERLY extend the wiring harness? Id love to reorganize my button layout but i dont kike the idea of splicing more wires than necessary. Did you simply grab the same ga wire and use butt connectors and then wrap the wires or something else?
