Thank you so much. After looking at many TH-cam videos in order for me to install a heated seat switch in that lower panel, everyone seemed to be ripping out the entire front dash. I wondered if it was possible to just go in through the radio and you clearly showed it is possible. Thank you very much!
I'm glad the video was helpful to you gastonville11! I'm not a fan of doing unnecessary work =) so I try to find shortcuts. Please check out my other mod and install videos and thanks for tuning in!
i'm not a fan of doing any unnecessary work either, so i looked around the front of the console up near the accelerator pedal and saw what looked like a path to the back of that switch panel. i popped out the switch blank i wanted, stuck a stiff wire up through said opening and it poked through the open switch hole with hardly any effort. i taped the switch plug to the bottom end of the stiff wire and just pulled it out through the switch panel. took me about 5 minutes total.
This is excellent. I have an open slot right beside the BSM where I am going to put a heated steering wheel switch. I have the 3TPAM and don't want to remove it and then re-install it. Although if I do the long way, I can put a cover over the gauge window that will help eliminate any scratches and clean the inside of dust. I live in a very dusty area and am considering cleaning it all up. But also it's not the end of the world.
hey Alex, yes, there's a grommet that pretty much runs majority of the wiring from fuse box in the engine bay into the cab. Watch one of my light switch installations (th-cam.com/video/8YI3rP6W0oQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=BU8Q3Q2VZUV9O0_R) to see where it is. I hope this helps.

You saved me so much time with this. I had to install a trailer brake controller and instead of button blanks on the left, I had a change holder.
I'm glad you found my channel Matthew! Thanks for tuning in and hope to hear from you again sometime. Cheers!
