    Great video. And I appreciate the part showing how to bring the coax into the cab. Most bed mount videos just show how to mount the bracket, which isn't that much help.

    Just a note you usually want to install the cable end after you have run it to the radio. your access holes will be much smaller and not as big as your antenna cable end.

      That's a professional tip, it's efficient. thanks for the share zardoz!

    Excellent job there. I’ll be doing an install soon, just ordered my set up today & decided to see what TH-cam had to offered on installs, to get a heads up. Thanks for being through.

      Hey @Flyneagle, thanks for tuning in and good luck with your install. Just a note, one of my subscribers mentioned that it's not a good idea to turn on the CB unit until it's fully grounded. I'm trying to find the comment so I can share the reason (sorry, my memory's failing me right now) but in the event that I can't find it, it won't be a bad idea to leave it off until full install. Have fun!

    Great instal video!
    The cable that attaches to my antenna mount has a ground and a coax connection. Do i still need to ground my antenna to the truck? Or does my radio ground it out in the coax connection on the radio? Im using a uniden cmx760 for reference. Any information would be great.

      You definitely need to ground it to your truck and don’t be playing around with the radio until after grounding it.

    I have a question for you, I have a tenue cover would that tall Brackett that you applied the CB bracket to, What would do instead. Another question is, what is that tall bracket?

    • @modXELA
      @modXELA  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The bracket is part of the Billiebars cross bars.

    What is the length of the antenna cable approximately?

    • @modXELA
      @modXELA  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Victor, are you referring to the RG 58A cable? I had the 18' cable and after the install, I only had maybe a couple of feet extra. I hope this helps and thanks for tuning in!

      Looks grounded to me. How about you explain instead of being a youtube troll.

      You need to also remove some paint from around the bottom of the hole where the antenna is mounted to the bracket so the top of the coaxial firering has metal to metal contact for the ground, and the 1.25-inch K4 stud is insulated for the antenna. See this video for details: th-cam.com/video/e4eSDt1cYbc/w-d-xo.html
      Then check ground with multi meter just to make sure. Good video
