I think my blood pressure dropped 20 points in the first 20 seconds! Your filming is just beautiful. Bosco!!!! OMG.. my Dad always had Bosco and a jar of Malted Milk to stir into real milk!!! No one even heard of 2% in the fifities!!! haha Love the thought of a day out shopping with a girlfriend. And lunch , of course!!!!

I didn't realize that you are friends. I see you share her "kindred spirit". I live in New York City, so now I can see your beautiful New England towns through your camera lens as well as through Linda's. I am impressed that you responded to all your viewers' comments. The VCS is on my list to visit before summer is over. They used to have my favorite shampoo from the early 80's : Gee your hair smells terrific" not sure if they sell that anymore. I have bought a few things from their catalog and I love the quality of their products. You ladies certainly had a lot of fun on your little trip!

Thank you for taking us along. The Vermont General store looks like you step back in time. Looks like you Linda had a good time and a few laughs. I was in a store in Highlands, NC they had Seabreeze. My grandmother used to use that. I did not know if they still made that. The lake was so peaceful, looks beautiful with the pine trees. Thank you enjoyed your video.

Love watching your videos, just seeing the beautiful little towns villages are so breathe taking. NH an the New England areas is where I would love to move to one day. The general store you and Linda went was so awesome, an seeing the perfumes was a blast from the pass especially Wind Song I used to wear that when I was in high school and people would compliment me on it I didn't tell them that it was my Mother's perfume but I loved it. Thanks for sharing this wonderful video with us.

You did a beautiful job filming Boston. As a kid I went to the North-end once a week to shop at the market with my Italian parents at Haymarket square.where they had fresh fruit and vegetables in their carts. and remember sitting in the back of our station wagon eating fresh hot Italian bread from the bakery. Ha …funny the things that stay with you . we also would go to Regina’s pizza place in the North End which was so delicious ! It is still there and still does a great business and the line to get in was down the street and sound the corner, not too long ago it was on Chronicle on TV….My father was a cab driver in his younger years in Boston and had many stories to share, and had many stars in his cab and knew every street in Boston like the back of his hand. That was when Boston was a much safer place to be.in.. Again thank you for sharing and bringing back fond memories of times gone by.🌸

I've been to The Old Country Store several times. There is an Antique music box that you pay a dime to hear it and see the characters move.

Went to the Moultonboro store many times over the years when I had family in the area. Sadly It’s been almost 20 years since I’ve been there but thanks for the tour. I was thrilled when you showed the old crocks with the pickles. I wondered if they were still there! I always got a sour pickle.

Thanks for the tour of beautiful historic Boston! I was born in Boston in 1948 and my three siblings were born in Boston as well. Celebrated my 70th birthday at the Top of the Prudential building, the Hub restaurant which closed down during the pandemic. My late parents were married at the Church of the Advent on Beacon Hill in 1939 after my mother who grew up on the Cape went to secretarial school in Boston and worked for famous Judge Brandeis during the 1930s. Both my mother and older sister lived on beautiful historic Beacon Hill before they got married. I love Boston in all the seasons but esp. the Spring! The summers are hot there! An uncle by marriage grew up in Jamaica Plains and was of Albanian ancestry, so I grew up eating moussaka and spanikopeta, a Greek spinach pie, so I love Greek food! But, I wish they hadn't shut down Durgin Park that was there since 1827 that had authentic Yankee New England food! A great place, that was a real tragedy! Hate it when we lose famous old historic landmark restaurants! Thankfully I have a Durgin Park cookbook! Husband and my brother in law graduated from Boston U. My parents first lived on the beautiful Back Bay. Commonwealth Ave. was designed after the boulevards of Paris, so Boston reminds me of London or Paris, and has a very European feel to it! Forebears came here to Boston on my maternal side from the UK, and Scotland in 1721 and fought in the Revolutionary War.♥♥

The parks and gardens were so lovely. People are looking after their front gardens so perfectly. The Hydrangeas were amazing the colours so pretty. If I had the opportunity to visit your favourite bookshop there I just wouldn’t ever want to leave. The books and decor is to die for.

Oh that view of the clouds driving down to the lake was amazing! I am always so jealous of how many lovely destinations you seem to have within driving distance. I have always dreamed of living on a lake or in a lakefront town. Its such a slower, easy way of living, The town and water views are so charming. And that grandpa statue in the park with the boy eating ice cream!!!!! Seriously.. how befitting is that. A few of my favorite things when out on a day trip or on vacation..... is foods of all kinds, condiments, treats, and candles! Looks like another wonderful day in the life of Carla!!!! Those toes in that cool water!!!!!

This was so much fun Carla! The view of the lake when you turned the corner was breathtaking. The country store reminded me so much of The Vermont Country Store, which I love! I wanted to let you know that I got my order a couple of days ago. I have tried the ginger cookies, so yummy with a cup of tea. I LOVE the Heavenly Whipped Body Cream. It really does smell like a very light coconut scent and is perfect for the summer! Have a wonderful week! 💗
