Lexington, MA Reenactment & Store Updates

- This Patriot's Day, I decided to get up (very) early and go the Reenactment in Lexington, MA. There were roughly 5000 people there to celebrate Patriot's Day and what a full day of celebration it was , beginning with the Reenactment at 5:30 a.m. You could easily spend the day (even weekend) between Lexington and Concord with all of the Parades and festivities they have. It is also the day of the Boston Marathon so PLENTY to do in Massachusetts! I also want to share some new and recently bought Consignment items that I am adding to my Store. I hope it helps to actually show you some of the items and explain why I love them so. Have a beautiful week my friends!

Thank you so much Debbie. I was hoping that would help a little. I know it's hard to know by description sometime and like I said, it was more like you were visiting me in "My Shop". Those prints are so much nicer in person than they photograph, aren't they?! I love that they are real places on The Cape, so I can escape there whenever I look at them! Have a great week Debbie!

Looks like you and Linda had a great time, worth getting up at 2:30! I love the homes in the background. I love copper also, l collect the jello molds of which my kids make fun of.

I HAVE BEEN TO THAT MANY TIMES !! plus ones in Concord and Exeter New Hampshire .Lexington .ahh another very very very wealthy town .but ohhh. the history makes my head spin. Have fun. Sorry I always loved the Red Coats best. so handsome😊
I was watching Linds's video today and said hey that's a voice that I recognize. I said, I am going to flip over to Carla at My New England Story. I just know that's her and sure enough, here is your video. It is wonderful that you are friends and have a kindred spirit to hang out with.
That's too funny that you recognized my voice, yep that was me! Yes, I'm so glad I met Linda. We find out each day more and more that we have in common. It can be a challenge meeting new friends at my age especially when you move to a new State, so I feel blessed for sure. Thank you for watching!!

@@mynewenglandstory I am in my 50's and moved to a new state. Lucky my best friends and sister in law in FL are only an hour and 15 minutes away. It has been a challenge meeting new friends my age that are kindred spirits. Where I am really seems more like a New Orleans feel and less of a southern hospitality. I feel blessed to watch Linda and you.
@@FunnySpruce I agree, I was in my 50's when we moved to NH and it is harder to meet people when we no longer have children in School which helps in meeting other Mothers. Luckily you do have your BFF's close by, but I understand, it's not the same. I'm glad that Linda and I can offer a "little escape". Have you considered joining a Knitting Class, Book Club, Garden Club.....whatever your interests are? That may help you find a "Kindred Spirit" closer by, someone with the same interests.....just an idea. Have a beautiful week!

My family came from Concord, as a matter of fact, 7 xs great Grampa Simon Willard was a main player in the founding of Concord. This was such a treat.

Concord is definitely one of my favorite New England Towns and I tell everyone that is visiting New England to make sure they get to Concord. I watched Linda's video just prior to watching yours. I'm NOT going to say that the two of you are absolutely crazy to have left your nice, warm cozy homes at 3:00 AM, however.....😂.... It does look like you had a great time and I do appreciate the fact that you bring us along on your adventures...This week I am going to visit a vintage/antique shop in Massachusetts that is about a 45 minute drive from me......I will let you know if its worth the trip!! I am also going to visit your shop...looks like you have added some beautiful items....thanks for a great video, Carla!!

Hi Carla, looks like you two had a fun day. I love to go shopping and lunch with my gal pals. I ordered some of your body mist and shower gel. Will be anxious to try a new scent. I used to love Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess body cream and they discontinued it and I really miss it. Continued success with your online store. You have some nice items. ❤
Thank you for your order! I didn't realize they discontinued Bronze Goddess body cream. I will have to look to see what you ordered, I'm assuming it was The Sea Garden, which is definitely different from your Bronze Goddess. Bronze Goddess has a more "suntan lotion" scent; where Sea Garden has a more light floral/clean scent. I absolutely love it and just saw it again in a Maine Boutique (where I originally found it) and they have added more products in the same scent so it must be popular for them too. I so enjoyed the video. I was in Gettysburg yesterday at the Adam's County Historical Museum listening to a talk about the events leading up to the battle of Trenton and finally Cornwallis surrendering.

Yes Joann, it was my first time and I LOVED it....other than getting up at 2:30 a.m.! lol Honestly, my first time really exploring Lexington. I had only driven through it quickly a couple of times, so the trip was worth it in more ways than one. Enjoy your week Joann!!

can you at some point visit a couple historical graves and cemeteries? like Mount Auburn in Watertown MA, and the one in downton Boston where HESTER PRYNNE is buried.
