- Does anyone else have Spring Fever? Although I am still enjoying cozy evenings and getting some deep cleaning done, I am getting a bit of Spring Fever. I did make a Trader Joe's trip this week and picked up some beautiful flowers that brought a taste of Spring to my indoors. I also found some treasures this week at Goodwill! I recently saw on Pinterest a tutorial on how to make an easy Jute basket, which we will try together in today's video. Thank you for visiting and have a great week!

The sweater you are making your grandson is absolutely beautiful! I admire anyone who can crochet or knit.
Thank you so much!
I love to see little ones in hand knits- the cardigan looks really sweet. The jute basket sets the flowers off beautifully.
Thank you!
I see you crochet Carla, I love crocheting & have made mainly blankets, baby bootie, hats, it’s such a relaxing hobby, the jacket for your Grandson looks gorgeous. The story of your dining table is nice & how lovely it belonged to your Father. The white flowers look so pretty & the beautiful basket you made compliments your table. Great video!.. Thank you.x
Thank you Jean!
Hi Carla, I love the cardigan you are making for your Grandson. The colours are lovely as well as the cute buttons. Your basket turned out so well, what a fun project! Your Spring flowers look so pretty....I am definitely ready for the new season now! Have a great week x
Thank you Kareema. Have a great week!
Great flowers, basket tutorial, and yes, Spring cometh, but not as quickly for us New Englanders. In fact, the past two Junes have been chilly.
Carla,
I am sorry to say Dresden is not the same as.you remember. No more cute shops. The homestead campus has been sold along with the home office.
It saddens me to tell you this news. I now see quite a few of those baskets and pottery in antique stores in Ohio. So nice to write you and love seeing your adventures into those quaint New England towns!!!!!! Blessings to you!
Thank you for the update, and I agree, very sad. That was quite the Complex they had plus the business it brought to Dresden. I still have and love quite a few Longaberger items.....good memories.
I did enjoy your craft. My mind was coming up with alot of ideas. Thank you
Oh good, have fun with it!
No trader Joe's here. I wish
But we have sprouts,
Amazing craft, I will definitely make one , or a few
Thank you so much for sharing
I love your dining table , really beautiful
Thank you Joann. I have heard great things about Sprouts and have wanted to check it out. Let me know if you make a basket.....so fun and quick.
Hi Carla, Another relaxing video to watch. Have you always had lots of patience in making things. All I can say is I wish you to teach patience.😀 Great basket, and beautiful sweater, your little grandson will look so handsome in his sweater with the little adorable turtle buttons. 🌺
Oh Margaret you just made my day! I wish my Dad could hear you say that, he always told me I need more patience! I've never been known for my patience.....maybe lack of! LOL. Have a beautiful week!
Thank you so much for the great project! It looks so cute with the flowers! I always enjoy your videos!
Thank you so much Barbara!!
Great project, Carla! I love baskets too.....they add such nice texture to a room! I also love the whale pillow. I hope you share with us if you recreate a smaller version. The little sweater is so adorable, and the turtle buttons are such a nice touch! I really want to learn how to knit, and have a friend who will teach me. Hopefully I won't find it to be too challenging! Have a great week ahead!
Thank you Lori. You should definitely have your friend teach you, Knitting is really two basic stitches....Crochet can be a tiny bit more challenging. My goal is to learn to knit a sweater for myself (someday). Enjoy your week!!
Hi Carla the flowers are so beautiful. Love the little jacket you're making for Baby Theodore, so adorable and I love the colours. The basket is lovely and looks so easy to make. I have to try and make one too. Thank you for another fun video❤
Thank you for watching Maria. I hope you try the basket, it's so easy. Have a great week!
Wish we had a Trader Joe’s!!
I DO love Trader Joe's, especially during the Holiday Season. Enjoy your week Barbara.
Thank you. You have a wonderful week.
Great project! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing! Very nice!
Carla ...I love the basket... what a nice easy craft for a winter's Day! Years ago I took a class in basketweaving and I was amazed at how nice it turned out. Unfortunately my dog at the time ate a big hole in the bottom of the basket so that was that! I think a lot of us have spring fever and I for one am looking forward to the nice warm days and all of the flowers that I will be able to pick from my own garden! By the way...when you use a glue gun have a glass of ice cold water nearby so you can immediately stick your burnt finger into the water! (if you don't already do this)....have a great week!🌷🌷💕💕🌺🌺
Ooooh, great idea! Thank you Cynthia.
Hi Carla, your basket turned out great. I have a friend who covered a lamp base with jute roping for her nautical family room and it looks so cute.❤
Oh wow, I LOVE that idea!!!! I may have to try that one someday. Enjoy your week!
What a beautiful diy Carla ☺️👍🏻.
Thank you! 😊
What a lovely craft. You have give me the inspiration to make a tissue box basket for our powder room.
Kindest regards

Oh wonderful, that makes me so happy Donna! Have fun!!!!
Love your jute basket!!! Fun craft!! I also love baskets & was a consultant for with Longaberger! I live close to Dresden, O. Thank you for your videos!
Oh wow! I loved selling Longaberger and visiting Dresden. What did they do with all of those cute Stores in Dresden, are they still Home Decor themed? Have a great week Pam!
Lovely, you are such an inspiration ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
Always look forward to your crafts !! If you have the time could you share the color of your dining room? It is so pretty.
Thank you so much Trish. Unfortunately, I do not know the name of the color because it was here when we bought the house. I did repaint all of the trim and fireplace in the Dining Room but left the walls because I too like the color. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help.
Great project!
Thank you!
Love the ship glassware. What a unique collection to be hunting for. And the blue whale pillow is adorable!!! Love it with the blue plaid throw on the back of the chair. The rope basket really suits your nautical style. Very nice.
Thank you!
Beautiful knitted sweater! Cute basket, l was wondering if the hot glue melted the plastic at all.your so crafty and talented.
Thank you so much Fran. The hot glue did not melt the Cellophane. I was very pleased at how easy and fun the project was and would definitely do it again.
