Hi, we are Mark and sioux. The channel is about everything campervan/motorhome and full time vanlife, travel and adventure. I want to encourage people to get out and explore and enjoy the outdoors more. Not just in the UK but also Europe. I want to inspire you to travel and see places, to have the confidence to take on new adventures. I hope to do this by giving you a small insight into trips we've made. I'm no expert, I'm just finding my way like you could. When I first got my motorhome I wasn't really sure where to go in it. We didn't want to sit on a camp site plugged into mains. That's not adventure. So don't just watch the videos. Go and have the adventure. Our hobbies are spearfishing and bushcraft along with a few others that will be included in my videos. Ok let's stop the boring stuff click a video.

Vanlife finding water. Preppers water filter. survival water filter
Here in Australia our labels have more relevant info. In the case of TP they will tell you how much per sheet it costs so it's very easy to compare them imo. Other foodstuffs are marked as per 100gms for example.
I am a brit living in southern spain, and my campervan is very stealthy and looks like a works van. I have a dog and i put stickers on all the doors warning people i am transporting dogs, but even with that, 3 guys tried to steal my van from a lorry park where i stopped overnight near Madrid. They had their laptop ready to plug into the OBD port to reprogram the van. They took no notice of my warning stickers, until my dog started barking as they messed with the doors, i woke up and started shouting from inside the van, they buggered off but not before i got their registration. The next day 400kms north of that place i saw them again at another lorry park clearly casing the place for van targets to steal. 😮😮
To them it's work. The way they make money. Don't even consider our vans are our homes. That's the worst part about vanlife. The risk of losing your van and everything in it. At least me it is my biggest fear
Diesel won't be the first thing that disappears off the shelf. It will be toilet paper again 🤣
I noticed this sometime ago look on the sugar it's less than before when I questioned this I was told it's cut down to stop obesity 😂😂Do they think Im mad or what 😂😂when said sioux now I no I'm not crazy 😂😂❤
Well said I meant to say 😂😂😂😂
I had to give your brother a day off from moaning. I've challenged him to say 2 positives every day.
Why he's getting stressed out over what It is what it is 😊@@Roadshome
If you have an address go to 'who gives a crap'. The toilet roll is amazing value for money and its recycled paper too 😊
I've looked at this before and it seems expensive compared to the supermarkets, but it's probably not when you think of the scams I've just uncovered. I wish they wouldn't put their name on each paper wrapping as you could reuse as wrapping paper. 😄
@Roadshome each roll lasts more than twice as long as a regular toilet roll. I ordered these when I lived in a house with two teenage girls. The recommended amount for 3 months lasted me 6 months!! I used the paper as fire lighters. I'm now NFA thanks to lockdowns so have to buy from supermarket now
Oh yes fire lighters would work. I'll research, thanks.
Expensive very expensive.. just an advertisement...
Your opinion.
People in house have cupboard full of stuff van you have limited space, ive got a huge garden i can grow stuff in keep animals of i wanted. Advantage of van you can move easily to a better area if needed
Yes, I think it's swings and roundabouts.
Mars bar 90s 65g down and down to current 47g in 2022 happened with all chocolate bars thinner than before. They have to have a 40% increase to get back to 65g a big difference
I was typing and the video changed 😂
Wow that's s massive difference 😲
Bare with me sounds like we are getting naked together 😂 bear with me sounds better 😎
...and the empty bins need to be returned where they were found after being collected. The world has gone mad!
Not sure what you mean? 🤔
I live in a flat and I've been prepping since 2016. The way things are, I'd advise anyone to stock up whether they live in a van or not - at best, prices are going to get higher and at worst, supply chain breakdown and food shortages are going to hit if NATO gets any further embroiled in what's happening in Ukraine.
I worked out 40 years ago that buying meat from a butcher is best.
Totally agree but we have been blinded by the price.
@@Roadshome Wagon wheels when i was a kid were about 6 inches round, they look half that nowadays.
Coop started selling mince wrapped like that,, my ferret won't even eat it and mince is his staple diet..
Oh dear that's saying something.
No air intake?
Yes it's built inside the unit.
It's ripped off Britain 😮its been like this for ages. Anyway Norman fixed so we be back on the rd today. We always buy from butchers when we find them x
Oh my word that is amazing and super fast. Woohoo. Back to Marks rants now I think.
Hi Sioux, nice change from that miserable fecker! Somebody said it elsewhere & it's 'shrink flation'. They think your thick & wont notice. Per £ of average salary everything has gone crazy when compared to the past. Rationing is already here but there are no ration books but it's simply done by affordability. One of my biggest hiss offs is supermarket 'loyalty' cards where bascially all they want is your data & if you don't agree (i.e. have a card) they charge you more. Also, a few months ago, clothing brand 'North Face' offered a 25% discount for anyone agreeing with their 'inclusivity/diversity' crap. Looked at in reverse this meant that someone who didn't agree paid around 25% more for thier crap. Tbh I doesn't affect me much as I live a simple life. Thanks for this.
Yes, it's the simple life I crave, not this stupid convenient life, which means people have time on their hands. More time for what, oh yes working, just so they can buy more rubbish. And when they aren't working those people with time on their hands love to watch the big flat screens. Also you say , I make a change from Mark, but look at the views.... people want to watch Mark. Maybe I'll stick to making observations on my own little channel 🤔
Also noticed about minced beef a couple of years ago… said to my ex wife that it looked completely different to how it normally looked!
Maybe it's just the beginning, what food will be next?
It’s called “shrinkflation”… been going on for a good 2 decades
I probably have noticed before now, it's just that now I have a platform to voice my observations. Hehe, normal Mark service will resume.
also the width of loo rolls is getting smaller - thanks Sioux. My wife says it was fabulous
Oh I hadn't thought of that.. it could be a lot worse I guess, that shiny tracing paper stuff we had at school. 😄
@@Roadshome 🤣 oh God yes !!
Got the N2-T (green one) heating my (parked) 36ft 5th wheel. E. WA. USA. Does a bang up job. Mounted just outside a window w/controller inside. Intake ducted to the interior to recirculate air. It's in a lidded bin. I'm ready for winter (as far as heat goes). there is no pump noise after it gets going.
It's a nice looking heater to. Ducting the heat the way you've done it is better, I just didn't have enough ducting to show it this way.
I'll hopefully be doing a review of my powerstation this week. I'll see if Vtoman would like to send me some solar too...😂🤞
You should of emailed them and said you could do with a solar panel to change it as well. You don't ask, you don't get 😂.
@@susanrich6 That's very true 😂. But I've kept them waiting that long for this review, they'd probably tell me to fluff off, lol.
@@anothercampervanchannel no I ment when you accepted the power bank. Anyway yes you definitely need to get the review done or you'll get black listed. P.s. no idea if you get black listed but it sounds dramatic 🙄
I've just bought some of the grass fed, lidl mince. I don't mind it. Apparently, the vacuum pack is to reduce plastic waste (according to google..).
Haha that's the other thing thst made me laugh 😃 grass fed mince, they are cows 🐄 aren't they ment to eat grass. It says it on the packet like isn't some kind of magical food.
@@Roadshome 😂 grass is magical, especially when you smoke it 😵🥴😂Apparently, some cows are fed on grains rather than grass, which is as unhealthy for them as it is for us 🤷♀😊
Oh don't know, sounded a bit ranty to me Sioux...🤔😂. But all correct. We're being swizzled left, right and centre. I remember wagon wheels being at least 4-5 inch big, although according to Google-'the Burton's Biscuit Company, which makes Wagon Wheels, says that the biscuits haven't actually gotten smaller. Instead, they say that people's first experience with Wagon Wheels is often as children, when their hands are smaller.' Gas lighting at it's finest...lol.
Ok, maybe a little ranting. Lol 😆
@@Roadshome That's fine. It's good for ya 😁
I've challenged Mark to say two positive things each day, he start well then twisted it with a negative. "It's great that the railway station is so close, look you could just climb over that wall to get to the platform .... ....... you'll probably get hit by a train though as you cross the track. "
@@Roadshome 😂🤦♀ Ah, bless him. That probably comes from a life of struggle/trauma/conflict *delete as appropriate 😏
It's called ShrinkFlation....
Oh I like that word. 😃
Good evening Sioux, nice to see you on the channel. One of the biggest ripoff s I've come across recently are the Cadburys chocolate minii rolls. The price might not have changed recently but the sneaky sods have tried to pull a fast one. When you pen the packet you find i think 10 individually wrapped rolls. Now these haven't changed in size... put what they have done is reduced the roll by 1 inch and filled the wrappers with air. This gives the impression the wrapper is full. As far as toilet roll is concerned I only buy mine about once a year. i buy mine from Farmfoods. Just re-stocked 5 x 18 packs ( 90 rolls altogether ) for £20 which works out at approx 22p a roll. It's called 'little Duck' and is very nice quality.. You are right about Wagon Wheels....what a ripoff they are nowadays. I remember them coming out in the 1970's and they where the size of side plates, now look at them. We are being ripped off left right and center. I don't know if you or Mark eat Weetabix. I found they changed their recipe several years ago and they taste disgusting now and are so over priced. I switched to Tesco own brand and they taste like the original Weetabix used to taste and at a fraction of the price. You ought to do something like this every week Sioux maybe on a Tuesday and call it "Soiux's Retail Tuesday" I'd watch it :-) We could all come together and get heads up on any bargains we have found in the week and are will to let others know.
What the heck do you do with 90 toilet rolls? I'd need a shed or something to put them in. Oh now you mention weetabix, do you have it with hot milk or cold milk 🥛 🤔
@@Roadshome I've enough toilet rolls to form a spare bed... hahahahaha weetabix I have with cold milk and a sprinkle of sugar.
Yuke cold milk 🥛 my ex husband had it with cold milk, so does Mark. I think your all freaks 😜 I was going to do Sioux's Sunday but people just like Mark more. Lol. I'll stick to my own little channel.
Chinese
What you trying to say about Yorkshire folk. celebrity chocolate in a small plastic tub 😂
I'm saying Yorkshire fock are known to be ..... frugal. 😄💰💰
Good Observation!
Haha, thank you, bet you've noticed something aswell 🤣
Absolutely spot on. Especially loo roll, chocolate bars, and tooth paste. Also cans of beer/ale are getting smaller. Brilliant video. Take Care Both ❤
Thanks Asa, much love to you both. Mark back shortly.
Food in plastic, NO, it should never happen.
All those meal deal things shouldn't happen little tubs of a handful of nuts.. wrapped boiled eggs . ???
Never go on price. Always go on weight . 'T' rolls go on leaves or length . Going on price is and always has been a scam. Butchers, grocers, etc. better quality and value for money.
Look at the ingredients of Tesco Chicken Breasts.
Surely ONLY chicken ? 🐔
@@Roadshome 🤣🤣 Try water
Do you inject it? 💉
@@Roadshome No me them LOL
I stopped buying meat from supermarket in 2021 it's not fit for a dog to eat. I only buy meat from a butcher now. Just looking for a place to get my veg. And i will never walk into a supermarket again.
But what about things like pasta and rice? I definitely think I need to get to a butchers instead of a 'Convenient store'!
@@Roadshome 100% Go to a butcher for your meat. You will bin the meat you got from the convenient store. I use a Indian grocery for rice and the things i need to make curries. Best place to buy rice from at a great price.
Wagon Wheels are now trolley wheels, stop shopping for convenience and support the small businesses. The lidl mince is fine particles of beef compressed into a block and sealed for your convenience (that word again). No Mark today then and he's left you to show us the pitfalls of supermarkets while he gets to grips with his humongous power pack.
Mark told me the wagon wheels have been like this for years , he is probably right... slowly getting smaller. Don't worry Mark will be back.
@Roadshome My first ever Wagon Wheel was in 1972, which I bought on the way home from school. I managed to eat it all before I got home and I remember my mum was well annoyed, that I had no room for the evening dinner. The dog had a full belly too after that.
How do Sioux. I'm surprised you didn't mention the tubs of toffees like quality steeet etc which have been shrinking both physically and contents wiswe but still cos the same. Much respect- Kenny
Oh yes your right. Need to start shopping away from those big name shops.
Dont forget the size of toothpaste tubes.
Oh my word, yes I forgot about those the tubes are tiny. Things that say family park aswell.. I'm thinking frozen chips 🍟 family of how many? 3?
I noticed with the t.rolls during covid, (if you could find any), an asda own smart brand t.roll would not fit into my enclosed, caged t.roll holder because it was too plump. Now the same brand fits easily with room to spare.
Thanks for sending me the link to watch this & you're totally right, it's all about the freedom to live 'how we want' & what most people don't realise is, that freedom is generally taken away from us by the powers that be. We must continue regardless. Great vlog 👍
It's really tricky to make a vl9g without making it sound like a rant and negative. Thanks Sioux.
@Roadshome It's not negative, when it's factual & it is 😀 I hope you got some benefit from my comments of yesterday & our off grid living. Just tucking into a home made potato & veg corned beef hash, with crusty tiger bread & butter...made off grid of course 😀
Maybe good idea to have exhaust pipe as low as possible to prevent condensation flowing back
Yes, that would be wise.
Thanks again for the really useful review Mark. Have you done a review on that little S200 one? I'd like to know about that one but if you put it into Allpwer's search it just comes up with solar panels 🤷
It's much better to buy lithium batteries and an inverter than a power bank, this way it's easy to upgrade and if you want it portable an old trolley case is ideal
th-cam.com/video/R3E4Zbd03lg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Le542X0nTXyX8Phl
As I said to someone else. My inverter was £250, my battery £500 each my solar £800 I fitted it all but if a company had to fit it the cost is triple what a power station would cost.
They must be making money from immigration, if your an MP with investments in hotel industry, and your using public money to fill them with migrants, then the share price will go up.
Yes, I wrote to the Scottish boarder council and asked them who was benefiting from the parking charges. Wait for that video to come. Even I was surprised 😮
It's all one big elaborate design for the elite to own everything, they want farmers skint so they have to sell their farms, guess who will gradually buy the farms up, the elite, they will then have full control of price of food and 100% of the profits. That's just one example of their many schemes
I think the most important thing to do is to sit down one day soon and make an emergency plan for different scenarios. I have had 2 serious floods in my flat in the past few years, which made me think hard about all this. Even before shtf there could be fire, flood, landslides, earthquakes, energy blackouts and 'externally imposed conditions', shall we say, Having a bag with any important paperwork, change of clothes and some essentials is a must, imho. Knowing whether to shelter in place or go. What about pets? Do you have food/accommodation/transport for them? What is your area emergency plan? This would give you info on what the army & other emergency services plan to do, such as drinking water distribution, potential road closures and the like, Things tend to happen quickly so to avoid panic it's prudent to have thought about various plans of action depending on the circumstance, imho.
A sensible way to prioritise. I like the idea of breaking it down.
Hi,good but you keep asking Why,I didn't choose to be homeless in a van with nothing, that's why, were cold hungry and shat on ,but i dont see it as so,when youve lost everything 20 yeras ago, life began.dont mean to moan however the why? question is for society to answer, heating systems great but a vans still better than a box in a doorway. peace
I like the small van. No bills easy to clean and heat. I don't consider myself homeless and if I am, then I'm a happy homeless person 😊
Another excellent video Mark, thanks. It's certainly an easier way and cheaper way of going down the Lithium way with the added bonus that you can actually take your power out of the van with you. I also like the look of your van and look forward to a van tour when you've got time.
Yeah I also like the idea you can take your power where you want it. If your building a van all you need to think about is fitting lights. My inverter was £250my solar about £800 battery £500 each. It quickly makes these power stations look cheaper to use.
I'd feel very safe to have emergency and NHS staff parked outside my house, especially as I have a heart disease
It's a shame they can't afford the nice big houses that the people who complain about own. I'm pretty sure 3 or more of them could live together in one of them big houses. Not everyone in vanlife does so of there own free will. Some have no option.
My Vevor diesel heater has a thermostat and is going off at temperature and goes on If the temperature drops 2 degrees. Works nice! 125 Euro😁
Did you make the thermostat ? Or come with it ?
We use ours as a back up to the van set up in Winter.
Yes that's what mine will be doing. Handy having the panel to angle into the sun. I say sun but it's not 😆
They look mint.
