All good points, eBay, Amazon are my source for our 20yr old Desmond. B&Q for other bits. Stealth vans are kidding themselves, unless they have done nothing to the outside, gas lockers etc Oh and a big chimney out the top.
If you or we don't intend to sell I guess it doesn't matter what you do. I have had thoughts at times for bigger more rugged. But this old girl works ok for me at present time.
Another great video mate, thank you. You are really helping me with making a choice in the future on what I actually want. Can't wait for the van tour.
The one thing that Motorhome centres do not say is that yes they will look after the home part of the vehicles but the engine and running gear is not down to them. You will have to find an alternative Mine being Fiat In Kent is very difficult to find , even smaller vehicle people still charge a fortune. !! I have found a place that does not rip you off who did my clutch replacement at a sensible price fortunately Thing you may be surprised of where I went !! 😊😊
Yes very good point. My fiat took 2 months to book in for a service. The motorhome dealer couldnt service it for warranty. Fiat dealers are not easy to fit and get booked it.
Interesting video Mark. Cant disagree with anything you have said. Had a friend join us for the lsst few weeks of our Scottish adventures in a motorhome. We did kind of fall in love with it. Based on a x reg sprinter.
Sioux is going to give her opinion on self builds. Again it is a different approach, and probably a little more complex as it's your choice on what you do with it.
Builders van all the way! No windows a roof rack a ladder , even bit of 3x2 on top. I know there's a risk with tool theft but if yer init no risk of that

@Roadshome look forward to watching it. I like putting a personal touch on things hence selfbuild, plus cost of a motorhome for me

and im on a camp site for that reason
You don't have a roof, you have a solar panel 😆
@@Roadshome its still not enough solar
Campervans/Motorhomes have become the new Boat everything costs a fortune🤷♂️
@Readysteadydrive the best bit about van life is you can start with as little or as much as you like. To many people are scared to make the jump.
