I appreciate your passion to spread knowledge of this relatively unrecognised history. Godspeed
Hmm! its revealing of the mindset of person who runs this channel - with European voice. The way he pronounces his verdict about the subject without having an iota of idea about it. He calls yantra comprising of pre-hindu animistic believes? i am what the fcuk it is ? These morons dont understand that so called Buddhism is nothing but a "panth" or denomination of Hindu dharma. Buddh was born a Hindu and died a Hindu. He espoused a marga or path and his followers were called by non-indian people as Buddhists. For us Hindus , Buddh is another guru who was enlightened like so many who roamed the great land of Bharat before and after him!
9:54 It's because of Yamada royalty to the previous king of Ayutthaya he dared to stand up against the new king that came from coup d'etat and he paid his own life.
appreciate your intellectual honesty about this topic. there seems to be a conspiracy theory out there these days that the Spanish brought the chili pepper to Asia, when in fact it was the Portuguese who brought the pepper to both Asia & Africa.
I'm a pilipino...but my great great grand father is ah pure portugues ah family name of Diaz...
as a chinese also an asian, chili is the best food that human discovered. The person who discovered chili deserves a memorial 🗿🗿
Eh! Everyone claims they're Chinese now.

Malaccan Sultanate (1400-1511) was NOT the vassal state of Ayutthaya. The sultanate was a sovereign political entity that ruled the surrounding regions of Straits of Malacca. Ayutthaya did infact tried to subdue the Sultanate, twice, until Ayutthaya was politically pressurized by Ming Emperor in China to stop subduing Malacca.
Now add the history of the Filipinos in "Indian" training schools where they were taught Siberian culture and used in shows and features to indoctrinate the mass flood of immigrants to America into THEIR created image of a native "American". So called Natives day they were performing by mocking the "Hollyweird" image of natives. Pull up videos from them in world fairs and it's obvious what they called romanticized ideology persists today in their 1970s created "powwows"
Interestingly enough, they've done gene sequencing in Mexico to display where the descendants of the Galleon Trade ended up. In addition to DNA from Austronesian origin groups arriving in North America at this time, there's also evidence of Melanesian admixture from this time period. Meaning yes, the Spaniards brought Black looking non-Austronesian Pacific Islanders to North America in large enough numbers that it affected the gene pool of Mexicans. So when I see online, Americans saying "my ancestor was a Black person from an Indian reservation, but where half of their DNA is supposed to be it shows Black Pacific Islanders. Maybe Black people are Aboriginal and we were here before Columbus? 🤔" The answer is no, the Spanish simply transported dark skinned Melanesians from the Pacific to the Americas. So yes, SOME Black people from among the Spaniards in colonial North America had Pacific Islander DNA and it shows among modern Mexicans and even modern Black people.
Lao is a distant cousin of thai.
East Asians And South East Asians may face lots of gross sentimentals in Latin America but it is significantly less then Amerindians And Sub Saharan Africans have to take on yeah.

First time I've heard khmer pronounced correctly 🎉
I love Thailand
Freedom of Religion is a precious fundamental right. The right to practice and propagate one's religion must work both ways. There must be reciprocity. Otherwise it loses its sanctity.
So the Thai came from China to this area and Kill almost all the Native people and the Thai say, it is okay; Thai are people mixing blood with with Native people, let's be friend.
The Thai alway say they are from China original and they always disguisted of people with dark skin. Now they claim that they native to this area? How?
Mons is the real owner of the land. Tai came after. Now they are all Thai . We don't mixed up with Khmer.
@@dannysajeff Thank for the reply. Cambodian have been in Southeast Asia since the darwn of time. We do not want to claim anything that is not our. Let me share some Cambodian history with you. Original people of this Southeast Asian penisular are call Mon. Let me start with contact with Central land people (original Chinese people); the Chinese came down to present day Cambodia to trade goods and do business with the local Mon people. The Chinese sailors mix blood with the local Mon. Later the Indian from South Asia came to present day Cambodia and also mix blood with the local Mon. Chinese historian record this kingdom as Funan. And later time other Chinese historian record this Kingdom as Chenla. Later an Indian prince marry Mon Princess (Cambodian Princess). It Change the people name from Mon to Khmer. The Mon people in coastal area eventally change their name while the Mon people in Burma are call Mon. Later in time there was a civil war between people want to keep the Mon name and the people who want the Khmer name. The Khmer won the war. Then again in time the Khmer want to remember as Mon so the people call Mon-Khmer. During the Khmer Empire there a large Chinese community and mixed blood Khmer and Chinese. American call the Khmer, Cambodian. Thai and Thai nationalist Luang Wichitwathakon call Khmer, Khom. Nowaday the Thai are brainwash they call the Khmer, Khmai and themselve Khom.
@@dannysajeff What is Siam and what is Thai? Where are they from?
@@dannysajeff let's compare your history. What is your history as a Mon person?
Now I undestant afew older Cambodians said they have Japanese blood. Some Cambodian do look like Japanese.

This is a great video of the dawn of global exploration and the fate of the Philippine Islands. Can you also create a video that discusses more about Portuguese’s relationship with the Philippines prior to the archipelago being totally colonized by Spain?
Of course I am Mon!
I wasn't really raised in a household that used lots of peppery foods, and was shocked as a middle-schooler when I had dinner at a friend's house, only to find they had put dried chili flakes into their mashed potatoes. That experience taught me at a young age that different people eat different things based on where they grew up, what cultures they were exposed to, and what foods were most commonly available to them. (I grew up near Seattle, Washington, while they grew up near Modesto, California; I was therefore exposed to a lot more Asian cuisine locally, while they were exposed to a lot more Mexican when they lived down there, based purely on regional immigration patterns.) Unfortunately, just as I was starting to enjoy hot and spicy foods in my college years, however...I had to have my gallbladder removed, and that severely reduced how much capsaicin my body could tolerate. Which sucked. And still sucks, despite it being decades later. But I have discovered a mild chili pepper that I enjoy, which is the poblano. Not too much heat to trigger acid reflux, but also quite a lot of actual flavor besides the heat.
cast is a Spanish word which was introduced in India by Britishers according to their divide and rule for policies according to them lohar ( Blacksmith ) and etc.
people like you know about western point of view of India making a video
you are showing the wrong map of india
Our first buddhism was Mahayana Buddhism that was adopted since 5th to theravadi but it wasnt official yet as khmer buddhism society lives have been facing criticism over religion between hindu and buddhism until angkor wat was started to build in 10th but it was delay due to protest of khmer buddhism so king jayavarman7 devoted himself to buddhism to support khmer buddhism and the religious get united as angkor wat first project was nokor temple and when it get united it call angkor wat(nokor pagoda) and when angkor wat was almost finish in building king jayavarman7 declare himself to buddhism-hindu
Indonesia was never meant to be a Muslim country.
"Philippines" is actually a province of Mexico rather than another colony of Spain. It was ruled directly from Mexico and had Mexican appointed governor-generals instead of Spanish appointed governor-generals.
Wrong. See in Wikipedia (spanish) lista de gobernadores generales de filipinas. And after México independency filipinas was ruled directly from spain since 1898.
@@eu1531(*edit Also theirs a difference between ruling and colonizing a land. They ruled the land but only Colonized certain places I've seen unofficial pure indigenous reservation type towns/village in Mexico) yeah wrong cause the term "Mexican" didn't even exist yet. But Mexico city was the unofficial capitol New Spain overseeing all the territory's so technically he's not wrong right people but the wrong label
people usually underestimated how big the realm of nusantara is. when peoples talking about palapa's oath of gajahmada people will thinking when he is determined to unite all nusantara's world under his reign, people only thinking about the scale of area in SEA, when in reality gajahmada's meaning is about the massive area from madagascar to hawaii
0:38 The caste system was not adopted because it was not part of Indian culture. It was imposed on India by the Portuguese and British.
Between 6-8 th Century , Madagascar was part of the Sriwijaya Empire (South Sumatera) ......that is why ,now Madagascar has the only rice field in Africa ......and the Malagasy language has many similar words with Bahasa Indonesia ,therefore both can easily understand each other.....
back then before merg with Bankkok goverment and become Thailand the Northern Thailand is knowing as Lanna Kingdom they have really close relationship with Laos or back then know as Lan Xang so Lanna is million of rice field and Lan Xang is Million of elephant and Lan Xang it's also have a good relationship with Ayutthaya so Thailand back than is Krung-ayothaya-sri-ram-tep-nakorn or Krung-tep-daravadi-sri-ram-tep-nakorn by all mean Kingdom of Rama and on the other side of Kong river is Krug-sri-sat-ta-na-ka-na-hut wish translate to Great Kingdom of million elephant or shortly is Lan Xang ( million elephant ) so since Lanna and Lan Xang has a good relationship and after Siam conquer Lanna and LanXang we call them both "Laos" but there's also have a detail to call them specific like Black belly laos or "White belly laos witch comes from their signature tattoo that we called "morm"(มอม) accully there's still a lot more detail but that's all for now
