This makes autumn the best season to hike

Autumn can be the best season to hike. There are no bugs, cooler temps, and magnificent color. There is something special that takes place in early October. I try and make it a point every year not to miss it before it's gone. Thanks for watching. Happy miles! -Cascadia
Backpacking the Wonderland Trail | Mt Rainier National Park

@@cascadiahiking Most people start at Timberline Lodge and go clockwise. Watching your Wonderland Trail video it looks like there are bridge crossings over most of the bigger streams but on the Timberline there are none and there are about 10 significant streams you have to cross of which about three of them are a bit sketchy but usually there is a log or thick branches hikers before you have put down. I'm older and I took my time and did it in three nights, four days but most do it in two nights. Have fun!

17:25 You know when you've been hiking a bit when you recognize the shape of a trail overview before you can read the captions 😆 Considerations for those not wanting to go quite as minimalist as the Durston 40l pack: Osprey Exos. For those not wanting to go as expensive as the Durston pro, the standard Xmid has been great for me (I also use the groundhog stakes and will say Durston has the best customer service of any company I have ever communicated with!). Cheaper than the MSR Pocket Rocket is the BRS3000. I print my paper maps and fold them into a ziplock bag. A lot of my other gear should be upgraded as I continue... my headlamp is a standard Costco-whatever. My poles are old, aluminum and sponge-whatevers. The Nemo Riff 15 was probably overkill, but I use it like a quilt on a closed cell pad (reliability > weight savings for me). All that to say we have to hike our own hikes, and anyone watching gear reviews should take into consideration their own geographic region, bodily needs, comfort preferences, budget, etc.

Wow! We are amazed at this beauty because it draws us to our Creator, Christ the Lord. Places like this bring us to tears of joy because our spirit longs to praise Christ, Who is worthy of all the glory! We were created in His image to know Him. “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭20‬

Thank you very much for the feedback. Actually Maria is alive and well. It was someone else that we met on trail that had the cancer diagnosis. I'm not sure her outcome but I hope she is well. All I can remember is how happy she was to be there. It was a reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing each experience. She was cherishing that experience.

Thanks, you're a few inches taller but around the same weight as me. I went with size M for both top and bottom. They fit snug as you would expect. You could prob fit in either a M or L. M will be snug, L will be less so. If it were me, I'd order both sizes and return the one that doesn't fit as well. Hope that helps! Cheers.

I was living in Seattle for 4 months, not sure how I missed mount Rainier. I hope I'll go back to hike on Mt Rainier national park

I wouldn't feel bad about that. It was years here before I really discovered hiking in MRNP. Then, when I did, I thought "wow, how did I not discover this earlier". I hope you get to experience it soon. When you make it back here, definitely check it out. Cheers!
