My take would be instead of a full on Uniform, a small special Lapel Pin given by Giovanni, marking him as an undercover agent. He would continue filling the Pokédex, if only to determine the strongest Pokémon to obtain for Giovanni. From there, he would challenge Erika before going back to Lavender Tower. Getting the Rainbow Badge would be helpful sooner more so than later. He then returns to Lavender Tower, collecting the Ghost Pokémon and Cubone. And thanks to the PC Box, Oak doesn’t have to know what he’s doing with the Pokémon he’s captured. From there, he returns to Surge with a super strong team to get the Thunder Badge before reporting for the Silph Takeover. Instead of battling the Rocket Grunts, he gets items from them on Giovanni’s orders for his success at Lavender Tower, including Rare Candies to continue strengthening his team. He “confronts” Giovanni after defeating his rival once more and is gifted the Master Ball from the President. After Team Rocket “Retreats”, he returns to the Celadon Hideout and reports to Giovanni about his progress, turning over the Master Ball in exchange for a super rare Pokémon for free (Dratini or Porygon would be appropriate). From there, Red continues his journey, gathering up the Marsh, Soul, and Volcano Badge before reporting to Giovanni in Viridian. He “defeats” Giovanni for the Gym Badge, and is qualified to challenge the Elite Four and Champion. Prior to doing so, he fills out nearly all of the Pokédex and puts together his strongest team to topple the League and claim the Kanto Region in the name of Team Rocket. Once he’s champion, he appoints Giovanni as his Second in Command (though in reality, Red still reports to Giovanni as a special member), and together, they dismantle the region to their liking as they rule with an Iron Fist. Thoughts?

I'm full HM stan. They quite literally help the pace of the old games by limiting player teams. The newer games NEED this for pacing, challenge, and connecting to your teams of mons beyond battles. Sorry guys, you want your full battle team to be along side you in all your battles? Then don't complain anymore about how EASY the newer games are and how small enemy teams are. You deserve this.

Regigigas is such a beautiful pokemon. Also the fact it only has 1 weakness would make it one of the best in game if not for that useless ability. Regigigas should have Pure Power as its known to move continents

I just hate when it requires you to have a water/flying/ground/etc type on your team and takes up a move slot permanently. As long as they can find a way to do it without those aspects I’d gladly except them back. I agree that summoning random ride Pokémon is dumb, but in scarlet and Violet the legendary Pokémon literally befriends you and as you travel together (and gain new traversal moves) your bond grows. Imo Let’s Go did it best

Im not sure i buy the whole "Mew was a last minute addition" story. It falls apart when you remember how much evidence of mew was in the franchise from the very start. It seems more likely that they planned for kids to catch mewtwo, then wonder who Mew was, keeping them interested for a little while longer, which is basically what happened. To support my theory, they did the same thing three more times with Celebi, Jirachi, and Arceus, although they never truly caught lightning in a bottle again like they did with Mew. Also Sugikori claimed that Mewtwo isn't based on Giygas, but baijce I just accused GameFreak of lying, I'm not taking that as gospel.

Regigigas should have an ability called "Elemental" where it gets STAB off of Rock, Ice and Steel type moves.

if that case, it should have been 3 turns, not 5

what if, they reworked the ability... SLOW START, FINISH STRONG for 4 turns, it halves the atk and spd. but on 5th turn, atk and spd doubles for 4 turns. then goes back to normal.

tbh, 5 or 6 gens later, youd think regigigas could have gotten an update.

When I first saw this video, I ignored it, because my gut reaction was that it would be bad. After watching the whole thing, though, I'm kicking myself for not giving it a chance sooner. I agree with basically all of it, and I like your idea at the end for how to make HMs work. Gameplay wise, I personally prefer the way Let's Go did it, but it could easily go either way for me and I think I'd be happy. Since this was made pre-SV, I do think the devs did an amazing job making Koraidon and Miraidon characters we care about, so it feels good to help them regain their power and ride around on epic sandwich-loving motorbike lizards. However, the video does still hit on a concern I personally have had with the series, which is the overemphasis on player convenience at the cost of a rich experience. The way Galar and Paldea handle move tutors is the most obvious culprit to me. As in, Galar hardly has any, and Paldea has NONE. The function previously served by tutors has been subsumed entirely by TMs, and while it might be more convenient to not have to seek out a particular Trainer, it also saps a lot of the life from the world. You aren't seeking out some grand tutor who knows a move too powerful for anything but dragons, or earning points in hard-fought battles to improve your team. You're grinding mobs for drops like an MMO. I feel similarly about a lot of mechanics changes, to be honest, like Eggs now being available at any picnic instead of from a Daycare. At the very least I feel these should be rewards, things you unlock by engaging with the world and, you know, _playing the damn game you spent $60+ on_ for crying out loud. Like we're not talking about raising a competitive team, we're talking about the actual role-playing experience of the role-playing game.
