I think the themes of these games is going to be less past/future and more tradition/progression - which seems especially fitting seeing as this is an entirely new way of playing Pokémon (progression) but they're still trying to keep it as quintessentially Pokémon as they can (tradition)

I think going back you see previous versions of towns but some blocked because they don't exist yet yet could be a forest with wild pokemon but if you go forward you see evolved towns but Ruins now appear since people moved to better locations but pokemon also appear in them. Think of the black and white 2 Restrictions.
This could work with a system similar to black/white and sun/moon with each version existing in a different time and the legendary allows travel to the other version’s time. The third legendary being the present as the middle point between past and future
I like it, I just worry that this would mean that the legendaries would need to be in play from the beginning for the multiplayer between games to work
2:12 i think the motorbike inspiration is amazing as someone whos always loved bikes, im obsessed with the old school chopper vibes of koraidon, i also really think that apart from just motorcylces themselves koraidons look with the headress/native look in combination with the oldschool bike inspiration makes me think of the indian motorcycle company, a really popular brand of old school bikes whos most iconic logo is a native cheif in a feathered headress with a scarlet red background (the logo obviously hasnt aged amazing but the scarlet red is still used to this day in most of their logos). Also miraidon makes me thinks of a futuristic suzuki hyabusa all the way
Dialga controls Time in a general sense and Celebi can go through time but needs to be present at the moment things need to change but i believe these legendaries bend the febric of time to make changes without involvement So the evil team would probably want to control such being for themselves.
I am exceedingly pumped for these games! The only trouble I'm going to have is settling on one version to buy. I am entirely stuck at the moment with no hope of choosing between them. I wonder if this will be the first pokemon game that I will actively buy both versions of! Good theory!! I don't know about the legendaries having time travel capabilities, it's been over done somewhat. I do like to think they are representative of two contrasting points in time, being the strongest Pokémon of the region in those points of time. Let's face it, in terms of time travel - why not Arceus, Celebi, Dialga? So they'd likely be creative with it so they're not overdoing the whole time travelling Pokémon. I also agree on the different forms, which I'd like to see as the new mechanic. Maybe the two legendaries are necessary for Pokémon adaptation and evolution over time. That is where the professor differ - one believing Pokémon of the past being more powerful, whilst the other professor believing Pokémon of the future being smarter. With these forms having form and stat changes.
Thing is that's a big ask from gamefreak. We know they aren't gonna put that much effort into the games. Granted they could keep the land scapes the same, but we'd need 3 sets of all the cities, one for the past, present, and future. Npcs we know could just be dressed differently to be descendants or ancestors like in legends but even that would still require reworking npcs atleast 3 times for each time period.

Bigger than space time distortion, but perhaps there's an area you can't enter throughout the game because an old bridge is broken, but you can use the legendaries to go back to a time where it wasn't or forward to a time where it's been rebuilt
@@CaptainFidget but if Scarlet is what let’s you travel back in time that would mean either you can catch both legendaries in both games to be able to travel both backwards (to catch Zoroark) and forwards. I would think if traveling back/forward we’re title specific then that would mean you’d have to be able to go to another friends game and travel back/forward with their legendary as a party
I see what you're saying. Well it could play into the 4 player coop. One member from scarlet goes back in time, one member from Violet goes forward and then they meet up in the modern day and trade. It's a good point though and definitely given me something to think about

I really like the idea of Scarlet being able to travel to the past and Violet the future. That’d be so unique and honestly a good selling point for them if the games have different forms in each.

I'm sorry but as much as I want it, I really don't see time travel happening. Not because it's unrealistic, but rather because it's already been done before. I think the situation with the Professors and Legendaries is more about the themes of the game being something about Traditionalism Vs Modernism. Also the Hisuian Zoroark image was a demonstration of transferring Pokémon from other games, not showing that Hisuian Zoroark is native to the region. Similar to how you could transfer Alolan Form pokémon to SwSh despite them not being native.

Dude this is a good theory if we go to the past and the future I would love to see Pokémon get awesome forms for both time lines like an eagislash get a past form based on the stone swords that cave people sometimes make and it'll turn eagislash into a ghost rock type and if we go to the future we can see an eagislash based on the lightning sword from clash of ages and it'll turn eagislash into electric ghost what do u think 🤔🤩🤩

My theory: our character in legends arceus came from this region and this game is the sequel in which we go home

Presumably that's the player character. So either that's you back in time, or one that you've brought back into modern from the past
