Canucks Fans Are Going To LOVE This New Forward!
Earlier this offseason, I suggested that the Vancouver Canucks sign Kiefer Sherwood in order to replace Dakota Joshua if he left. Not only did the Canucks re-sign Dakota Joshua, they signed Kiefer Sherwood in free agency! In this video, I break down his statistics and show why Canucks fans are going to fall in love with him!

The Canucks Sign Two MUTANTS On Defence!
มุมมอง 31K21 วันที่ผ่านมา
If there is one thing clear about Rick Tocchet hockey, its that he covets big defensemen! Patrik Allvin and Jim Rutherford have done an excellent job of cornering the market on these mutants, from Carson Soucy, to Nikita Zadorov, and now Derek Forbort plus Vincent Desharnais! However, size on the back end does not always equal competence. In this video, I break down the positives and negatives ...
What The Lightning Just Did To Stamkos Was DISGUSTING...
มุมมอง 25K21 วันที่ผ่านมา
How many of you remember the 2008 marketing campaign called Seen Stamkos? How time flies! 16 years, 555 goals, and 2 Stanley Cups later, it is hard to believe that Steven Stamkos' time with the Tampa Bay Lightning has come to an end. I have no issue with him leaving, but I do have an issue with how Julien Brisebois and the Lightning handled it, and that is the topic of today's video.
The Canucks Make A MAJOR Signing, And Its Bigger Than You Think
มุมมอง 29K21 วันที่ผ่านมา
Earlier this morning, it seemed like the Canucks were going to strike out on all of their targets. Tanev, Toffoli, Guentzel, Zadorov, and Lindholm all signed elsewhere. But little did we know, the Vancouver Canucks had an ace up their sleeve. Without any insider leaking the move beforehand, the Canucks announced that they had signed Jake DeBrusk! This move has huge implications for the team mov...
The Canucks Make EXCELLENT Bets At The Draft In Vegas!
มุมมอง 9K21 วันที่ผ่านมา
At the 2024 NHL Draft, the Vancouver Canucks had to wait until pick 93 to make their first selection. The question going in was what will the Canucks draft strategy be? Will they go with low-risk, low-reward players? Or will they swing for the fences in their later rounds with some high-end talent? After their first selection, it was clear that the allure of Vegas had gotten to the Canucks mana...

On the eve of the 2024 NHL Draft, Patrik Allvin got ahead of 31 general managers and made significant moves. He has re-signed both Dakota Joshua and Tyler Myers! I don't think this video does justice to the complexity of the situation, and there are some false claims. Smith didn't need the tax money to get the team or build the arena. This came about because the city and state wanted to keep the teams downtown instead of losing them to the suburbs, where the land and construction costs are low (and so are the public benefits).

Couple of things to mention ; Brad Marchand is extremely well rounded forward (asides from playing well with Crosby) . He also plays left wing, a position Canada lacks depth on (so the decline would have to be drastic) . As a locker room hype man , I think having Brad as a leader is a good decision. Yes the US should be the favourites . But mostly due to overall depth (offence , goaltending but especially defence) . Goaltending; Stanley cup winner Binnington who also handle prime Colorado in the playoffs two years ago is good for the job . I wouldn’t say there’s a massive difference . The guy just hasn’t had a chance to play big games due to the Blues falling off . A .915% for last season on a very weak team is pretty exceptional goaltending imo. Especially when your team isn’t playing for anything. As mentioned, the Stanley cup winners (Colorado) were relieved to see he got injured in their series. Also the depth in this department doesn’t matter nearly as much , this is not an 82 game season with a rigorous playoff schedule . So it looks like a big lead for the states on depth , but they can only choose one net-minder. As for the 1-0 win in 2014 . It was Babcocks strategy to play defence . If you watch the game , the Us was never a threat . That previous Us team should therefore not be mentioned. Funny you didn’t bring up their more recent best on best performance in 2016 😂. Probably had a lot to do with them upgrading / revamping their program .

Couple things here. First of all it’s $900 million 2ndly about $300-400 million of that money is going to fix a symphony hall and the rest is going to fix up the arena so it can fit NHL rink. 3rdly SEG is putting in $3-4 Billion Of its own money. 4th downtown SLC is probably the least profitable place to put an arena but downtown SLC is hurting so bad that the city needs to do something. I’m normally not for government spending, especially on arenas, but this might be one of the only things that can revitalize Salt Lake City downtown area.

In terms of overall development the US still isn’t close to Canada, imagine a tournament like this but with countries 2nd teams Canada would absolutely dominate and it wouldn’t be close. Other countries may be catching up with the top international level talent, but they are miles behind Canada in terms of depth. That’s also not mentioning no other country produces Generational talents like Canada, Crosby, Bedard, McDavid all in the span of a decade and a half compared to the rest of the world maybe two in Ovechkin and Matthews(?)
