ITT RX 75 professional vintage radio 1975 quick fix (4K)
Video Diary having a look at this 1975 ITT radio I received for my birthday. As like my other ITT gear, it basically works, but the rattle from the speaker was a worry. I was recovering from Flu during filming, so it was a bit of a struggle to concentrate as you can see. Hopefully, I will finish some of my larger projects soon. Warning: working on line or mains powered equipment is dangerous.

I think Manuel at Electronics Old and New on TH-cam has built an isolated 5 volt supply for bluetooth modules. They are on sale at PCBWAY, or you could download the schematic and board design from the site. You would need to find a free switch on that switch bank to switch it on and off or fit another switch somewhere to stop it interfering with the radio though. Another option is to put some external windings with ordinary insulated wire around the mains transformer until you get around 5 volts and feed that into the diode - again a switch would need to be fitted.

I think you will be able to get quite a good output eventually. I used the machine as an amp for meeting in a school hall through a couple of columns.. I had to use it in the record position with the rec. and stop buttons down. This was because there was a very heavy bass boost present if just left with function off. Maybe because of EQ needed for the tape heads being present. Also, so current not being fed to the motors. But a very faithful machine.
