  • Video diary building yet another kit. Late night browsing on Amazon I found this KKMoon YD CS kit under a tenner and thought why not treat myself. I thought it was quite good for the money as it does multiple tests. I could not find more instructions but it went together OK after a blunder or 2. Its not as accurate as my other testers I feel , but good for a lot of general tests. Music from TH-cam audio library

Hi Darren. Another enjoyable video. I have the TC1 multi function tester, and for the money I am very pleased. I am looking forward to your next project, the signal tracer as I am about to look for one. Thanks again for sharing. Terry

I bought a similar kit on ebay a while back, well worth the money and has had a lot of use since.
I find it more accurate than my ESR meter, battery life is very good too.

Great video. i have one of theses cheap testers modified to have test leads
I i tend to use it more often than the PEAKs as one device checks all devices so no swapping meters

The slight dearer kit has a graphic display which shows transistor/mosfet pinouts.

Excellent :-D, you can never have enough testers.
I bought one from amazon, it had the odd plastic case too.
But no battery switch so i added one. (I hate electronics that stays partly on).
I use it for capacitor esr, and the values do move about so pick the average.
I removed the zif socket as it played up. Every insertion gave too wide an error.
My old digital cap value tester (from an electronic mag project in 1985) is good enough for rough capacitor value.
Hopefully you set zero ohms by a short link in the socket and holding the button in i think.
    My crap memory lol.

Ah ok, thanks for those tips. I have a made tester at work and I have noted contact issues. Daz

Why press the on-test button so many times on the peak?
