You spotted it was the rapid jack, a different design I thought to the usual. I think those brackets are weak with age now. Glad to hear we had the same thoughts on reworking it, Mike. Daz
Nice to see you again as always :-D Sorry to hear you caught the covid 😞 It screwed me up mentally, really unstable. Some people say i was unstable anyway :-D A nice and kind modification to the bush, it can be reversed without damage if someone changes there mind. :-D Hmm 330 ohm resistors, i normally see a low value in amplifiers so headphones can be connected to the power amp and cut the constant amplifier hiss down. I expected a higher value since it was connected to the volume pot, but hey it works great :-D
It seems a few people have after effects, I'm sure your more sane as me ;-) I must invest in some smaller lower value resistors. I will give the removed parts back to the owner so they stay with set.
@@darrencoe5795 I made the mistake of buying a mix of low to high value 1% metal film resistors from maplins donkeys years ago. They were the ones with a blue body. Not easy to read them due to the silly blue body. 30 years later (yes 30), i still have a few and with my eyes not being what they were when i was young, i have to grab a multimeter to check. The shame of having to use a multimeter.
Yes, I think fitting an external jack (via reversible mod) for adding bluetooth etc is a good idea. People will just bin them when MW finally goes off air which will be a real shame. So good to give them an alternative use.
Nice , I have a few of those radios and also a mains/battery one I need to get round to looking at .
Be good to see those different variants, Michael. I do enjoy seeing the many different treasures you have. Daz

Thanks Chris, Another great video. I like the style of the Bush set.
Sorry Daz, looking forward to the next one!
I hope to do more videos soon. I have a few new toys I'd love to get going, Daz
Great video. I have two of these radios. Both working well. If its not broken don't fix it.
Nice radio, have seen them about but never had one. Think it might need to join the queue of future purchases.
Yes a lovely classic radio and was plenty made so hope you find one soon. Daz

Great video and long live medium wave. (And long wave)
Let's hope it keeps going through community stations even if the national stations stop.
