i too have a 29inch inside leg and can comfortably fit and ride my voge 525dsx i can also fit on the 900 but it feels a little heavy for me

What happened to the cafe, is it still closed? I live in Somerset. There are some fantastic rides but being a tourist area the prices can be high.

Honda in Bromsgrove (Sutton MC) has taken over Streetbike stock. Now Suzuki & Triumph dealership. They've ditched Honda.

Thanks for the video - very informative. Thinking about one of these as my next bike. The 2023 price has dropped considerably but don't yet know if the 2025 model is a signifcant upgrade and what that price is. One question please. Does the exhaust get very hot as I would like to re-use my slingover side bags on the CL500 ? (The bag manufacturer does do a heatshield for their bags if necessary). Many thanks

Awesome video's thx for that. I just sold motorbike number 26 🫣. I changed every year. But the last one, royal enfield meteor 350 I kept for 2,5 years. But it's time for something new and i watch a lot of your video's. Still doubting between a Royal Enfield Guerrilla and this CL500. What i would like to know is. In which condition are the exhaust pipes coming out of the engine. I always worried if i see a bike coming pit not equipped with a stainless steel exhaust system. Both i testride this CL500 and I was pleasantly surprised about the smoothness of it. I've had multiple single cilinder motorcycels like dmthe duke 390, duke 690, vitpilen 401 and this parallel twin is awesome. Smooth and still some character. Another thing i have doubts about is the comfort when my wife is riding along for some shorter (40km) trips. Thx again for your great movies. They were a joy to watch. I own a Honda CL500. it's my first bike. I've used the bike an awful lot on the motorway here in the UK. I wouldn't say it's out of place on the motorway. It sits happily at 70mph, and you can overtake comftably if needed.

How much you save weight removing rear footpegs?

You don't have to 'warm up' a bike with fuel injection. They have no choke nor carbs.

I really want one of these but I want to modify the foot controls. I'd like to move them forward closer to the clutch cover.

Sad to see you go. Big fan and fellow CL rider here in the states. Here they've had to rename the bike the scl 500 due to Mercedes trademark. I hope you still post from time to time. I feel like I am riding with you in beautiful UK. We need to keep the scrambler community alive!

Lane splitting ,to fast,coming up on the blind side of the car,at roadworks car driver wouldn't have expected that..he had priority,moving off at the green light,if a car had done that to a motorcycle,he would have jumped out his pram & banged his rattle,,lane split,fine,BUT EXERCISE CONSIDERATION,FOR OTHER ROAD USERS..THE ARROGANCE OF SOME MOTORCYCLISTS,LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED

Earplugs shouldn’t make tinnitus worse. Worth trying some different ones to try them out. Earplugs will help to preserve your hearing and reduce risk of long term damage/tinnitus

I usually ride with my fiancee and currently i have honda acitva s scooter 2018. We have side bags, front space, topcase, we can put smth on the topcase too and tie it, it was ready for the long rides . I love this cl bike and i want to buy but only thing i am thinking is where can we put our stuff on that bike at long rides :/ I wish they were bigger bags or somehow more capacity :( Thanks for the kind story telling Mr. David. awww, thats a shame. I live in Australia but I went to high school in Wolverly. Watching you ride the Bridgenorth road accompanied by your straight talking commentaries was a breath of fresh air and dose of nostalgia at the same time. Seeing the three crowns and sugar loaf, Pool Hall, the Nautical William and all the other oh so familiar sweeping bends and red sandstone cliffs has been a real treat for me. There were times when I almost felt I was riding along. All the best in everything you decide to do Dave and thanks for bringing joy to so many,

Thank you for making this video. It was great to watch, especially the part about possible alternative places that the motorcycle community may use. It is so sad that this place is closing as I always considered it a place of Zen, considering what is happening in the country and world today and for the future. I appreciate that this is your last video, but if you do find out what alternative to the food stop cafe the motorcycle community are likely to use; I would like to request if you could do another video so everyone gets a chance to find out sooner rather than later. Sorry to here you're stopping the videos, being from the same area I enjoyed looking at the local scenery and listening to you waffle on. I used to meet at The Food Stop too, so yes I guess we all need to find another meeting place. I've got to be honest most of the time we only had cups of tea as the food wasn't that great, but it was a nice view and obviously lots of bikes to look at and like you said lots of history. We always tended to to head over towards The Watering Hole at Aymestrey to eat or Shobdon airfield or the Kabin at Kinlet, so with Poolhall there are still lots of places where we are welcome. Maybe if you decide to continue with TH-cam you could make a series on searching for the new biker cafe. Whatever you decide ride safe and enjoy, best wishes.

Thank you for some great content. All good things come to an end eventually. At least you recognize when a chapter is ending and a new one beginning. There are too many content creators that don't know when the game is up and are flogging a dead horse because they just don't understand their channel has come to a natural end. Sheffield lost it's only two large dealers this year with SMC (Sheffield Motorcycle Centre) closing completely and Via Moto selling up and moving to Barnsley, blaming Sheffield's version of 'Ulez' in part for their relocation. The only remaining mainstream dealer, (Royal Enfield) is Manhattan. (Not including 'The Bike Specialists' as they sell only high end, investment or collector bikes - brilliant as they are).

Received this news with a tinge of regret, David. Thanks for sharing some of your life over the past year, which synced up nicely when I came looking for advice and feedback on this model bike. All the best and here's lookin' atcha big ears. lol
