Hi dave just a little update about streetbike the owner voluntered to go into admin i was told this by triumph headquarters also they sent a team down there to get the repair bikes back out to the owners and that a insolvency team called poppleton and appleby are dealing with anybody else im not holding my breath it looks like i will be saving again untill i can get the bike i want from somewhere else i hope this helps some of the customers.
Yes I did hear it was voluntary liquidation ..thanks for the info I will pin your comment ... I hope you get a good outcome ,keep me up to date with any further developments and I'll pass them on ...All the best 👍
Also I picked up my new trident up from street bike back in May and now it’s due its first service. I have been to triumph east Birmingham today and they have been swamped with street bike customers and have also taken on a few of the staff who lost their jobs. Triumph are allowing the dealer to claim back the cost of labour for my first service so at least I don’t have to pay full price as I didn’t get my bike from them .
You're take on Streetbike is pretty much spot on, I've bought 104 bikes, 85 new, only ever bought 2 from streetbike, both straight deals, No P/X, the first from them in King street Dudley, when they bought Cope's, and one from Mucklows hill (Bells old garage) their P/x offerings were abysmal, and they seemed even worse after moving into the old Comet. Like you I want the best deal and have purchased from all over the UK,...... they were never bothered to compete, and as time went by lost more and more customers, although the Triumph franchise did help, I hope all the customers affected get sorted, but will probably be at the bottom of the list of creditors, shame 🤨 Just bought a 500 Hornet to replace my CB500F, bought straight with £485 discount off RRP 12 mths RFL......, as you say pays to shop around 🙂👍
I put knobbys and the side soft pannier on my black SCL which gave it a classic military bad ass vibe. Great bike, easy to ride, cool, receives compliments from riders and non riders. Good video sir.
Always good seeing you trundling around Worcestershire etc, my never forgotten origin 30+ years ago! - a bike you might get to know about soon has really interested me, a Moto Morini Calibro Bagger!, cos of the feet forward/power etc, looks a goodun! I will pretend it is Italian to stay sane!!!
Thanks glad you enjoyed it ... the Morini looks interesting I'll have to find out more ... Midwest Moto in Stourport used to have some new Moto Morini's in stock , not sure if they still stock them though as they do RE and CF Moto now
Hope Steve is feeling better, David. Sorry to hear about Street Bike buyers getting caught up in the Street Bike liquidation fiasco. I hope they have some buyer protection available.
As a black country lad Bewdley was always a weekend destination, first on my push bike , then by car and now on my motorbike. Riverside cafe is my go to 👍
I share your frustration with those vans parking in the bike spaces on Load Street Car Park. They are doing deliveries to the Chemist however, the chemist has its own yard they can park in there, but the drivers are to lazy too. I park there at least 3 times a week and often see the parking wardens doing their rounds but never book these drivers for parking in a restricted area. There is additional bike parking at the Dog Lane car park just by the Medical Centre. Yep, agree with you on the Kabin at Kinlet, great bikers Cafe, food good and reasonably priced and opens up on Christmas Day and Boxing Day for those who are on their own or who don't like Xmas. It was packed on Boxing Day last year as a group of us met there for breakfast and a ride out! I understand that the liquidators acting for Streetbike have issued a statement saying that if your bike is paid for and in stock at the dealership then it will be released to you. Triumph UK have also issued a statement saying they will help customers where they can, quite what that means I don't know.🤔👍
Interesting Jonathan thank you .. Glad there is some support for those caught up in the Streetbike situation, lets hope everyone gets looked after properly and Triumph steps up and does the right thing.
Hi wyre forest rider, i herd about what you just mentioned about street bike from my son because I did take my triumph street tripel rs to them to have my bike service done, bescause it was closer than to take my bike to blade triumph Stratford were I bought my bike in 2018 be for street bike became a triumph dealership. They took over the triumph franchise after the Birmingham dealership closed , so now I will have to find some were else to have my bike service done because they were close to me in oldbury westmidlands

Yes Blade Stratford and Sutton Tamworth are the nearest now .... I think Sutton Bromsgrove may become Triumph too now hopefully .. I'm sure they would service your bike regardless.

Hi sad new for staff and customers but won't be the last if this country continues to go as it is two have shut near me
Yes it's a country wide issue , in fact I think it spreads further than that Leonard , retail is in crisis just about everywhere ..
