Hi dave.. just joined you from my utube friend Derek. I'm retired.dont ride now .or do utube. But enjoy watching you lads on your adventures I will backtrack your videos and have a look. With respect. Old dave (from Sunderland)
Evening Dave was very nice meeting you too and for the mention. That dealership doesn’t sound very good I think triumph have do well with there 400 cc range the scrambler would be my choice I’ve heard of reliable sources that they are much faster than then the Himalayan they do 90-100 mph so there going to take the sales from RE I’d have a scrambler if I need that sort of bike 👍😎😎 hope to meet up with you again sometime 👍
Hi David, enjoying your TH-cam videos and have subscribed 😊 Just a heads up, beware of using your AA inflator on the bike....I used a similar one on mine and blew the fuse because the socket delivers 2amps and the inflator draws 15amps! On an Africa Twin the 12volt socket fuse is buried far away under the front fairing! 😢
Thanks Paul . I wasn't aware of that. i have tried it for a short time without an issue but maybe a direct connection lead to the battery would be a better bet ?... or just a pair of crocodile clips in place of the plug ?
@WyreForestBiker Glad it worked for you without issue. Worth checking, yes and possibly a more direct connection, as long as there's a fuse in line somewhere to protect expensive bits 😀
As soon as you mentioned Moto Guzzi and Royal Enfield dealer 50 miles from home I knew who you meant. 10 years ago I bought a new Suzuki from them, it had been in the showroom for ages and was covered in a thick layer of dust. When I went to collect it I was given the keys and told to go and dig it out of their warehouse, literally, it was hidden behind other bikes. The only thing that had changed was it had its number plate screwed on, still covered in dust!!🤣 You couldn't make it up, if it wasn't for the price they sold it to me for I'd have walked away. The place looks generally shabby anyway and the showroom is poorly presented.👍
Top bargains! I wear an old Spada adventure jacket which I picked up 2nd hand for a bargain. Occasionally I think about updating it, but when I look at the more modern stuff that I can afford, I don't see any major gains. Mine doesn't have the wear alone inner that yours does. Nice touch! Can we look forward to you testing the Triumph?
Hi Matt ,A man after my own heart ..if it ain't broke don't fix it! ... I have a certain Triumph firmly in my sights as my second bike so watch this space 😉 ...Thanks for watching 👍
I recently test rode the Triumph 400X scram and couldn't fault anything about it. It looks great. It also seems to look and feel good quality wise and fit/finish. Surprised me how well it went, considering its only a 400, deffo no complaints about its power. I also found the suspension pretty good for such a cheap bike. At 6'1"" it fit me like a glove. I'm really tempted to buy one, but it would mean having a third bike to look after which i'm not sure about yet. Would i have complete faith in its reliability and trust it to be long lasting like i would a Honda ? No not yet, its an unknown quantity with a new engine, as yet not proven. But i think i'd be happy to take a punt on one..... and that really is something considering i'm rarely interested in buying a bike if it isn't Japanese.
I think I know the dealer you were talking about. I went down there to look at a secondhand RT and was very disappointed with the state of the bikes and they were crammed together so you couldn't get round anything.
Hi Mark , well that is a absolute bombshell ! I very much doubt it as Triumph are very small in comparison but who knows ? do you have any references I could follow up ? ...Thanks 👍
I wouldn't think so . Royal Enfield is valued at 4.5 billion dollars currently and sells more motorbikes than you would think. Even of the big 4 only Honda and Yamaha sells more. Triumph motorcycles is currently valued at just over 1 billion dollars.

That's great David , much appreciated . Hope you enjoy the video's 👍
Hi,nice jacket, do you have a link please, thanks 👍
What a weird way of looking after bikes that you want to sell. I'd definitely walk away too. That jacket looks good. Definitely a bargain.
I was amazed to be honest , why anyone would consider buying a bike from such a place is baffling.

Wow , this isn't a short term issue then clearly ...how do places like that survive ? ...Cheers Joanathan ,

That says a lot them ...Triumph have a real winner on their hands ...Many thanks 👍

Ah could be ..although another fits that description too ( Malvern by any chance?) The one I went too is in Gloucester .
@@WyreForestBiker yeah it was the Gloucester one I was thinking about.
Hi, Dave! How much were the jackets? I love a bargain as well!
The whole set was £39.95 ! ... both outer and liner ... could not resist ! ( sorry I could swear I'd mentioned it ! ) put it in title now👍
I have a question I've been meaning to ask you. Is your speedometer always set on MPH or KPH?
LOL ....MPH Mike ....Maybe
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Name and shame the dealer, they don't deserve anonymity.
I agree Simon , Frasers of Gloucester
Hello David, l have heard that Triumph are looking into buying Royal Enfield, so that could make things interesting if true 👍
Hi Mark , well that is a absolute bombshell ! I very much doubt it as Triumph are very small in comparison but who knows ? do you have any references I could follow up ? ...Thanks 👍
@@WyreForestBiker Morning David, the problem is l watch so many vlogs l can't remember where l got that from but l will try and find it 👍
