Why do Americans blab so much ? Is it their inflated egos ?
higher price because of body of the motorcycle. mostly other scooter are just a bar of steel in the middle of the bike. but vespa they using frame like car
Would love to see an update on the AK 550 and how it’s holding up etc. Miss the vids, hope all is well.
Have a pcx as a work vehicle , would love this as a upgrade
how many miles, do you still have it?
The hubs sold this one. I’m not sure how many miles the guy bought it has, but I see him locally out riding from time to time still. ☺️
Love that cute scoot! I wish I had a cup holder in my vespa for coffe runs :-)
Same!
So what do u drive
I’m on my Vespa 300, but semi-looking for a good deal for a used, lower cc scooter. I sold the Kick & kinda kick myself for that lol
Great video..u sunmed up all my thoughts n fears.
Thanks for this info. I’m 5’6” and I’m here to tell you that 5’6” ‘s are not all the same. Some have longer inseams then others. I don’t want to be on my tip toes. So I’m going to order the lowering bracket. Or full on platform boots. 😊
Ok I love her she sold me on Vespa
Love your username! 😆 My Vespa, Rosie, is still my fav!
For all the things you didn’t like about your scooter is why I bought the Suzuki Burgman 200. Lower seat, Niger under seat storage, bigger wheels for highway riding, mine has a windshield that works well! Price!
I bought boots with 3/4 inch heels. Flat foot now! Had considered shaving seat, and watched Robots lowering back suspension. Am concerned with lowering how much it would change the dynamics of riding my Vespa GTS 309 Super. Will be watching to see what you decide. But I am really happy with my boots and being able to be flat foot ride
It's great to see another Texan sharing their love for Vespa's. I live down the road from The Motorcycle Shop in San Antonio and we bought my wife's Vespa from there. They have a great inventory. Did you end up buying your Racing Sixties from there?
Yes! We love that shop & drive all the way there for a Kymco at this point, too.
Great review. You ticked the topic very well. I have had a Vespa Sprint 150cc, which I now miss and am thinking about the GTS 300 before the next summer.
The problem is finding classic styling with LARGE wheels. The only one i ever saw (which i used to own, until it was stolen) was the OLD Kymco People, made in the mid-2000's. I think it was discontinued around 2013 or so. It wasn't all aggressive and sporty, but still had those large wheels. I hate the tiny wheels of Vespas, and most other scooters, and the few large-wheel scoots i see now look like rice burners, all sharp lines and sporty.
Another Words Expect $ $ $ $ , ! ! !
Hey the algorithm works! I just bought a Genuine Rattler 200i
I don't think it's available in the states but Yamaha has a scoot called the Fazzio. Love the scoot.
Bottom line is you get what you pay for,and not to mention I have watched three of your videos in a row,and not one did you comment on parts availability and, service intervals, between brands of scooters. If you have the money, not struggling for the cash buy the Vespa,if you're financially challenged for what ever reason buy the other brands.
you should do scooter reviews.
Bring back a modern version of the vintage vespa scooter. Then you will sell a ton of them, and get rid of the ugly seat.
All the new vespa scooters are goofy looking and to skinny, bring back the original design. No fat seat. Just my opinion, had one in 65 was a beautiful machine in a cream color.
Why does Vespa not just reproduce a vintage looking scooter like the Roman Holiday, and be done with it.I would buy it in a New York minute.
Vespa, Scomadi, Lambretta, Royal Alloy, LML/Star if you want a nice looking one.
paid 1800 Euros (that's like 1900 Dollars) for my Vespa primavera 50. I have really enjoyed riding it. You might be wondering, why the price was so low and in fact i don't even know. There's really nothing wrong with it. If you can get such a deal i would definetely recommend buying a Vespa.
THIS is how to do it!!! ❤️ Love that kind of deal!
Nice color
Had a Piaggio, Suzuki and Aprillia,. They were all nice to ride with the Aprillia by far the best. Brands like Sym and Kymco appear to be quality as well.
Thank you for the great content. Can anyone comment on the dealer fees they were charged when they purchased the Vespa.
If you do the basic course after completion do you get a license
Classic scooter look all the way. I sold my 2015 Kymco Like 200, and I have regretted it since then.
Some of your negatives are general, typical characteristics of ALL scooters, such as small "pet carrier" under the seat that is not big enough for a full face helmet. The underseat pegs are for hanging your helmet by the D-ring locked under your seat; or get a top case. As for the handlebar mouted turn signals you don't like: "Genuine Scooters has turn signals mounted on the handlebars because the body-mounted signals on the original scooters are too close together and don't meet DOT specs. Genuine had to add or have PGO add the handlebar-mounted signals before it could be legally imported. " This was NOT a Genuine design choice; it was a US DOT requirement, and I also believe that the higher-mounted signals are more visible to those vehicles that all sit much higher. I also like the separate driving lights. Finally, in your next video, you stated that this scooter is too slow for 50-60mph highway speeds. If that was a main requirement for you--you should have researched 150cc scooters to start. You should also look at scooters with larger wheels--maybe a Maxi-scooter, but the cost will be much higher.
What is the price for it
Ok great video very informative! 1-These Modern "vespas" are really not Vespas they are Basically Chinese components, Chinese parts Chinese build like all motor vehicle companies today who can't afford to compete with the Chinese prices. 2-they have no guts no speed at all for the kind of prices (based on the name and reputation of real Vespas like mine) they are asking. 3-One can very easily buy a real Vespa, convert it to electric and it will be way faster and more reliable than these Chinese GY6 platforms. You're better off buying a real Vespa or Lambretta and simply converting it if reliability and price are what you are trying to achieve. I converted my 1964 REEAL Vespa GS 160 to electric, 72v, 5kw motor wheel (500 use) 80ah 72v long range LiFePo4 battery pack with fast charge charger-$800USD conversion-$250 USD final result-160 kph top speed, cruises at 145 like a dream, range-750 km's per charge, 0-100 kph in 1.6 seconds as opposed to the standard of these Vespa 2003 and after highest rated and faster scooter available- Max Seed :120 km/h Acceleration 0-100 kph :7,6 sec Range :160 km do the maths people. Even if you put an automatic motor from a Honda CH 250 1985 your only best option other than an all original Real Vespa or a conversion to electric you are still looking at far cheaper for far better quality than any modern so called Vespa. Vespa the name is amazing sadly they have opted for Asian build and design and that effects they're reliability and quality and value. truth.
I am as new as you were when you started. I am taking my MSF course in June. Thank you for all of these videos! You are making my pre-scooter life a lot less stressful!
I’m happy to help. June will be here before you know it! So excited for you!!!
Thank you for your video!! 😊 I just bought a vespa gtv 300 and that's great to know, novice scoot scoot 😮
Congrats!!!! It’s so fun to have a new ride as the weather warms up!
@@ScooterNewbie it has been a lot of fun! Its very fast 😁
Yea I think speed is probably the most important factor. Because you do get used to riding whatever you choose, so eventually you'll either grow into it or out of it, but you can't make it faster.
For an oil change is there a shop you can recommend.
Do you have Facebook or anywhere we can chat?
I have a KYMCO 50 it’s not fast at all I live in a small town but always think what others think . My scooter is so slow maybe high speed is 26 why not sure wish it was a little faster but no . I had get it registered and when I registered they classified it as a motorcycle but I was told that a 50 cc motor bike that does not go faster than 26 mph. Does it need to be registered but the state cannot change it anymore so now it’s considered a motorcycle. Very funny, right anyway I know you done reviews on scooters do you know why this bike would go slow the Kimco like scooter mines is a 50
Why is you voice out of sync with the video it is so annoying and before you ask it is not my internet as other videos work perfectly fine
No idea. 🙃 I’m betting it was a beginner editing mistake.
I own a ‘23 Vespa Sprint S 150 with ABS and it's fantastic! It's quick and it rides great. I'm not a brand snob. But wanted to say how nice it feels seeing others on their own scooters. Happy riding!
Vespa is the worst investment ever. Repairs were out of this world. This thing cost way too much for what it's worth, in my opinion. There are many electric scooters that are less than half the price and outperform this any day of the week.
I have such a strong desire to sell my car and get a scooter. I don’t commute much and we have another car in the household. It just makes so much sense to me to have a scooter as my commuter. I have such a strong desire to have a vehicle that reminds me to slow down and enjoy life. I think a scooter would be a great choice for me! As a female though, I can relate to the worriers in my life.
I'm a first time scooter buyer and am looking at the Genuine buddy kick 125, buddy 170i, or urbano 200i. My main use is commuting 5 miles on a 2 lane 40mph speed limit road that can have a lot of traffic during rush hour but only 3 lights. However, I'm also 20 miles from the beach via a 4 lane 55 mph (cars going 70) limited access divided highway and can see myself wanting to use it for a quick trip to the beach. The area I leave in is very flat. I certainly would appreciate any suggestions/advice.
Hey! Did you decide? I’m voting the Urbana (coming from someone who loves the Kick!) And the 170i I’d pass on, personally over the 125 or 200.
I was very unimpressed by Adly, and more impressed by Paigion, can't afford a new Vespa, most Honda scotters are bulbous and fugly. Might go CF Moto 125 Papio or Condor.
Test ride everything! I am enamoured with the look of Honda minimotos but having had negative experiences with previous Honda bikes, XL 200 dirtbike and 360 Twin, I am a bit wary.
You've got such a nice face, how could a dealer not allow you a test ride?
I think I want to get A 125, not over powered for the city or under powered for the country and it's the 2nd license and insurance class.
Hey, just curious but do you use your scooter as your daily ride during winter?
I won’t on days under 40 F. Any colder, and I don’t ride.
