Thank you for the video
Fair warning, it appears that reusable desiccant with a color indicator (blue or green) poses a cancer risk if you breathe in dust from it (such as from friction when its being changed out, or possibly fumes while heating it up to get the moisture back out.) TH-cam doesn't like links, but you can google "color indicator silica gel cancer risk" to look at the information and evaluate your risk tolerance.
You have to push the orange button on the ams when pulling filament out, you’re ruining the gears yanking it like that
Unless you like the exposed hardware, now design hole plugs.
Just the tip. Lol
Thanks for showing the process. I use onshape, but recognized most of what you showed.
When you go to pick the mirror plane you can click and hold over the entity you want to select and a drop down will appear with everything under your mouse cursor, allowing you to pick the plane and not the body. Hope that helps
That is a wonderful tip. Thank you.
Haven’t come across this issue, but it’s good info to have when I do 👍🏻
Thanks. Another save!
Any tips on printing the belt? Did you use the profiles on MakerWorld? Ours seems to be really difficult to assemble. We even broke some of the teeth while assembling.
I used the profiles from MakerWorld so I don't really have any tips for printing them. Are you having trouble assembling them even when there is no tension on the belt?
Great video. I learned a couple fusion things too. I’d love to see more videos like this!
Thanks for the feedback. I'm planning on making more videos like this.
Please include the AMS in your video title. Just wasted 4 minutes of my life
As in you watched the beginning to get to the AMS part? or you didn't want to watch the AMS part at all? Either way there's chapters outlining what is in the video. Sorry you feel that I wasted your time.
30 mins to get the connector back on, 5 mins for everything else. Next time I'm not taking the connector off, a little harder, but worth it.
Yeah this is the move. I should make a follow up video saying to leave the connectors connected. You can just tilt the inner assembly forward and access all the tubes without disconnecting the connectors.
THANKS for the straight forward EASY fix for the dreaded "RED LIGHT OF DEATH"
You're welcome, glad you found this useful.
so long man .....
Two words: Life saver! Thank you for your empathy!
:) thanks for the comment. Not quite saving lives but I like to think these videos are helping people a little bit haha.
the reason for minimum layer time is to give the plastic time to cool down to close to glass transition temperature. you dont want to stack layer on soft material if you want to keep quality and geometrie. if you dont need multiple objects (which is the easiest way.. print two instead of one.. solved) just add a simple "waste" tower. cube object with at least the same height as your tallest object, 1-2 walls, no infill, no top surface. the time it takes to print this part and the movement to reach it is often enough... and it costs only a few grams.
But this is not a problem with Bambu printers, it is simply due to the FDM technology
Yes and all Bambu labs printers are fdm printers. I should have made a more blanket statement that fdm printers produce this result but this is a video specifically about Bambu studio.
Perfect video, not too long, no useless BS. Showed us the whole process, thank you dude! I have a new P1S so I think that the process will be exactly the same. Now let's go do some multi color stuff!
Some excellent tips here, especially the color changing. Thanks for posting!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi. When I have A1 can I use second AMS mini?
No, unfortunately you can only use one AMS lite with the A1 series of printers.
@@3DPrintStuff And can I use normal AMS?
@@jaroslavdulik1439 not with the A1. AMS lite for the A1 and A1 mini AMS for the P1 and X1 series
Thank you, this was clutch!
Glad it helped!
Thank you for affirming my exact experience. I tried for months to get it to work and never could and of course there is no support. The educational license install is a cake walk as is the full license but the Maker version should be pulled until its works.
Yeah we can't be the only ones experiencing this... It's a shame cause I would have liked to keep using solidworks at home but the maker edition is just so broken.
Instead of decreasing the minimum layer print time, it is better to change the print speed of the outer perimeter. This will improve the appearance but will not risk the detail as a whole.
That is what I offered as a solution in this video: th-cam.com/video/J_pxk7HP3RE/w-d-xo.html but many people wanted me to use minimum layer time as the solution so that's how it ended up in this 3 tips video. It's really just depends on the situation.
Can you send. a. x1 carbon 3mf file to A1 printer through studio will it print?
No, you can't do this. You'll have to slice it for the A1
@@3DPrintStuff thank you ..finally answer only you tube see if bamboo would answer 🥴
Why is the filament breaking? What type of filament is that?
I don't have the filament that was breaking in this video. It was some cheap white amazon filament. I stopped using that filament and haven't had any issues since.
This is great - keep this kind of video coming!
Thanks, will do!
Thank you! It's been valuable! 1. chaging filament color is a right click and all the list long away, by menu. Even slower if one right clicks on the color square. So this for me is quite a game changer. 2. Soooo you just draw a dot on the corner and Studio applies the seam there on all the Z of the selected corner? I don't draw seams so much, but when I had to its been a pain so again, thanks! 3. Would have been useful a lot but I had to find it my way. It's there for a reason and in general it gives the plastic time to settle before the next layer. I found so while setting it off ("Don't slow down to cool layers" selected) and obtained a blob of plastic instead of the last 10mm in Z of the object. If you're chasing speed you can get very very close to normal speed in PLA. it always depend on the object's shape In PETG tho I start seeing non-uniformities compared to the previous layer, if do let it slow down (so the "slow down" option above is unchecked) but set "min printing speed" over 36 mm/s (default sets to 20). The object is kinda the area of a thumbprint, so unless you have smaller object you should be safe pumping that at 30-33 mm/s, petg.
they must have done some bullshit since because my tube doesnt just come out
Are you pressing on the connector like in this video: th-cam.com/video/00G0egBlSQM/w-d-xo.html
The just released Orca Slicer has the option to 'Allow opt-out outer walls when adjusting speed for "slow-down for layer cooling"' which may be a better option for outer walls visual consistency :)
That sounds like it's the best of both worlds. I'll have to check that out.
Love the 3d tip islands layout 😂
Thanks 😅

You're welcome!
thank you for making those mistakes for us, this will help so i dont do that.
Press the filament cutter on the right before doing this.
Yes this may be required. In normal operation the printer will perform a filament cut at the end of each print so you usually won't have to do this.
@@3DPrintStuff I never knew that
How many people have a plastic or wooden cutting board in their kitchen? One could make a reasonable comparison between layer lines and cut plastic, or wood. Even a pair of Stainless-steel tongs with silicone end caps are a risk. The crevices around the kitchen sink... so, so many places for bacteria to thrive. I don't think there's sufficient data on the effects of 3d printed parts and their impact on health. The problem seems to be, no one want to claim its safe, leaving themselves to class action lawsuits.
For seam painting a straight line, select the vertical box and you will only be able to draw straight lines.😉 Thanks for sharing this video.
was that 5hrs 20 mins for a 20mm cube
Yup, multi color printing takes ages to do color swaps. Especially when you’re using all 4 colors.
We can install multiple instances of Studio when using Virtual Machines.
What can I do if I don't have a 3d printer for start? I try make a good model but it don't get sale I think because I can't make a rl photo of it
You could share your model on the 3d printing subreddits and ask someone to print it and take some pictures. It will be difficult to get traction and to get better at designing things if you can't print your own models. You could also use a print on demand service but that will quickly add up to the cost of an entry level printer like the A1 mini.
I have an issue where printing a dragon like this and it keeps pinging off one segment every time, the same segment, at the first or second layer when infill starts. I am using an ender3 s1 pro with creality brand white PLA.
The settings at 10:30 break my slice as my model goes from 108mm height height to x925440.00 height giving me a G-code max height error. Seems Bambu needs to work a bit more on the implementation.
so what your are saying is that I suck
?
