    When you go to pick the mirror plane you can click and hold over the entity you want to select and a drop down will appear with everything under your mouse cursor, allowing you to pick the plane and not the body. Hope that helps

      Any parametric design software is going to be pretty similar. All the building blocks are the same, extrude, revolve, sweep. Glad you were able to get some value out of this video.
