I wanna pick up this kit! Looks like a beast of a print/project. Like other's have mentioned - a stronger motor would be more ideal and maybe a potentiometer to adjust the speed of it.

I’m going to have a crack at hooking it up to Arduino and a different motor source.
The DC motor shipped with the kit is very weak. I wired in an adjustable dc step up transformer to boost the voltage going to the motor works perfectly now
Yeah this is a good point. Those little 5V DC motors with the gearbox struggle a bit to keep this thing going. You can see it slow down during 1/4 of the rotation.
@3DPrintStuff yeah boosting the 5v motor to 12v made the model work so much better
