    • @RisingApe
      @RisingApe 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It’s the closest model of business for sure, I have actually compared the two (3L) the output is almost identical and this costs half the FormLabs and the resins are cheaper. But heygears are a big company in their own right.

  • @aubreymatthews1729
    @aubreymatthews1729 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

    So how long does it take to change the resin for another colour and and how much waist is there?

    • @RisingApe
      @RisingApe 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There is some waste but it’s minimal, if you are just changing resin type it can be filtered and put back into the pot, if you are using customs I would recommend buying some black bottles to keep them in. In terms of cleaning the vat, perhaps 5 minutes.

    I've been painting for 5 years now and tried lots of different brushes. The one I keep falling back on is the Raphael 8404 Size 1 and 2. I've been using them for 2+ years and they are still going strong "tip-wise" (I also took good care of them with brushsoap and cleaner solutions! - could also be a video idea? how to take care of your brushes). I can really recommend them is what I'm trying to say 😅

    Y U No wear mask?? I'm in the research step of buying a resin printer, one thing holding me back is a dedicated work space. I've read so many warnings and spooky stuff about the chemicals, and personally, if I die faster because of a resin printer, oh well. Live fast, print young. BUT I have cats and family I don't necessarily want to kill. Right now, I could put it in a very small shed that would be sharing space with a freezer. Sounds sketchy. Plus this shed bakes in the summer and freezes in the winter. I've heard this thing is great for low-temps but what about some dry-ass desert?

    • @RisingApe
      @RisingApe 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I actually usually do wear a mask, yup, it works very well in winter time never heard of high temps causing too many issues but stable temps are much better for performance.

    I don't get the dig at Bambu. I'm an FDM guy, yes, with a X1C. I need something that works, not a tinkering project. The X1C delivers that. It's an appliance that works. I send it a job in the garage with a high degree of confidence, that it will just print. Open source, sure, whatever, they have opened up the firmware if you want to go off-warrantee. No idea how many use this option, but it's nice it's there. Filament? go for your life, I regularly plumb the depths of Amazon using weird non-Bambu filament. I do wish the Nozzles were a more common design, but there are now 3rd party high flow ones coming out. So I'd actually hold up Bambu as the right way to do it. Innovate, push the industry forward, but open up what you can.

    • @RisingApe
      @RisingApe 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I’m not really having a dig at Bambu, kudos to them, but I worry it’s the begin of a trend that is highly commercially successful of moving into essentially a subscription model, it’s not difficult to imagine rfid chips being added to Bambu labs filament reels in future and the entire system being closed. Like I say, more an observation about industry trends than a specific comment about one brand

    • @benp7328
      @benp7328 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It's definitely a concern, but I think we passed the point of maximum danger with bambu a few months back. They clamped down on an exploit that allowed people to root the x1 and install custom firmware. Then after consultation they released a new version that allowed you to opt out of warrantee support, and have a boot loader for custom firmware. The bambu spools already have RFID chips, that's how they track usage on spools. But there's been no attempt to lock users in. So it looks like they are choosing to do the right thing.

    • @RisingApe

      There is no false info, the voxel size of 33nm seems larger than some claimed sizes from other brands but the actual results are more detailed than other brands. Other creators cover this point really well, highly recommend checking out @fauxhammer. A very sad day if these companies make it there own product not fitting any other pieces from other creators machine parts. No wonder our world is just not advancing, because inventors sell there ideas to corporations that only see $ signs. This company seems to be going like Microsoft. It is never shared with the population unless only on there site, needing purchase or updates for hardware/software. Where are the inventors that can come forward publicly first and seek our approval to share our tax dollars in bringing your product to everyone. Via the peoples industrial set ups around the countries that will produce these patented ideas for us all. Our futures have been stolen by big Corp, controlling factors and greed……

    This video is the reason why I wish the dislikes would still be visible. Clickbait and as a bonus, your smug face makes me unconfortable.

    A very honest review! Indeed is not a hobbyist printer. I can’t just shut my mouth because i’m more on the professional side… i got my first resin dlp printer in 2019 and i was blown away by it’s performance, but it came with a huge cost (20k) and 5 years later the manufacturer (bego) decided to stop support for it’s printers due to many printing fails that they can’t figure it out. Parts were extremely expensive because you have to buy an entire assembly which included that part… not to mention 1Liter of resin starting from 400€ up to 1600€. The lack of “tweak” for print was the major downside and in my opinion this was cause of the end of this printer. I had for so time asiga (didn’t like it either - a little bit cheaper) then i got a sprintray (again significantly cheaper) but in the end all had the same flaws… now i went down further in prices and got an Anycubic photon ultra, which to be honest has the same print quality, very cheap parts. As for the resin i’m using the professional ones because of the nature of the final product. by trial en error + printing tweaking i managed to have good results. Anycubic photon d2 has some print issues/fails (didn’t manage to some them yet) Good luck to you all!!

    Talking about mess and when your feeling a bit down you feel like it's too much to deal with and it's closing in on you,,,, well don't worry your not on your own I have the same issue,,, I bought my ender 3pro for next to nothing despite having quite a few upgrades and it nearly put me off printing after spending more time scratching my knapper, swearing and slowly convincing me sen that my plans for making air rifle parts and even my own custom PCP air rifle were never going to happen,,, and the mess grew and grew until about two weeks ago when I got hold of my brand new Creality K1,,, despite the complaints and poor reviews from people who more than likely don't have any experience with printers that are lemon's like my ender 3pro and are only out to promote the competition , I'm over the moon with my k1 and the support from Creality that delt with a mistake of mine whilst removing the silicone sock to swap the nozzle where I snapped two wires and messed up the hotend,,, so yeah I've got a pile of mess too and with I could post a picture to show how embarrassing it is but I reckon I'll get round to doing something with it in the near future,, great videos and looking forward to seeing more

    I am the target market for this (I own a low end Formlabs), but you are right…this is the Roomba model. But I think the industry is going to split more between closed and open and both will thrive.

    Closed source printers will never appeal to a big part of the community, but I can see how the idea appeals to a lot of people at the same time because a lot of people just want to make things and they don't care about buying proprietary filament and resin. They care about making a print the way they see it on the photos online, or they care about their prototypes coming out exactly as they want them to be. I have designed and built printers since 2012 and recently I also went to buy a printer that's not open source, just because I wanted a machine that does the things I want to do better than what most 'open source' and DIY printers offer. And the best part is that the filament still isn't proprietary. With a little tweaking, it just works. Oh the time I spent on fixing my DIY printers... Time I can never get back. And on the one hand, yes, I also learned so much from doing that, but I've not been able to apply this knowledge in my working life, it's all 'hobbyism' :D

      Depends how you look at it, it’s under half the cost of FormLabs which is the next nearest rivals in terms of market.

    How much would it cost to print a 6-hour object, from a print-farm business? I imagine having someone else do the print is going to be the better option if if you're only going to do a print every once. Also, it doesn't have Lidar , and more material support like the X1C, but any thoughts which HeyGear printer is closest to the Bambu P1S in terms of performance? BTW, any thoughts on the Infimech TX printer?

    • @RisingApe
      @RisingApe 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for the comments, for the cost it depends, professional printers will charge anything from £20-30 all the way to hundreds of pounds (i got some dinosaurs printed for a few videos ago they were around £70 each but printed on a FormLabs system so the resin for that is £125/l) It’s not comparable to an FDM printer like an X1C or a P1S as it’s different tech. The closest competitor is something like Form Labs. Hobbyists should look towards something like a GK2 if you need a heater or if you want speed perhaps the new Saturns? Last one if you’re just printing once or twice, save your money and buy resin models from artists, shop somewhere like PK PRO/ Noble Knight or El Greco.

    Would be awesome if these companies hosted a hack/modathon for 3D printers and handed out awards for creativity and improvements. Maybe offering jobs or patents rights 🤷‍♀️ would help speed up the replicators we desperately need 😂
