    Thank you for posting and taking the time to perform a walk through of your idea. I will definitely be doing this myself. The issue I am having is that when I run my a/c it will start to blow cold air and then after a few minutes or so, it will start blowing warm air. Is that due to the problem you just corrected or is the unit possibly broken. The trailer is a 2022 10HD model and the woman that had it before me never used the A/C unit. Any help or info would be of great help. Thank you.

      Thank you for watching. That soundd more like an issue with the AC unit its self. Luckily they are cheap and easy to replace. Just make sure to drill the drain pan in a low spot if you replace it with a new one.

    @jimh5210 4 minutes ago I will admit to not fully reading the description for both power stations on their website. Do you know what the VSR function is and how would I make this work to charge the units. Both should have a built in VSR. I have both versions of this power station. I ran a test on our upright freezer. Test lasted 15 hours, stopped it short because I went to bed. When the freezer cycled on it was using approx. 115 watts. Since I didn't have a shunt or a smart battery I used a Govee Smart Plug Pro to track accumulated KWH. This model freezer used 861 watts total in the 15 hour period when I stopped the test. It could have lasted longer. I am only using this Licitti power station when the grid is down, and at night so I don't need to run the gas generator. Charged it with a 30 amp charger and its slow. I have the first model, and the newer box. With the Govee Smart Plug I was able to see the status of the unit while traveling that afternoon. Works for me.

    • @adventuresofthememorymakers
      @adventuresofthememorymakers วันที่ผ่านมา

      Neither unit has VSR built into it. If you add an additional battery make sure it is identical to the internal battery and at the same state of charge as the internal battery. Length of charge time is the one drawback of 12v power stations.

    Price wise, it's not great vs other reputable LFPs.. but the hub on this thing makes it appealing. I ended up just getting their newer 12V/100AH mini @ $199 and might just buy the hub by itself ($30 w/ free shipping) to use via anderson power pole connection

    Curious how this is holding up aftera year of use. I like the features of the propex heater, and mounting it underneath would give me a lot more space. Im just worried about the heater getting exposed to the elements under my van, i travel a lot on dirt roads, mountains, and beaches.

    I was thinking how the air conditioner is the worst feature of this teardrop. It would be the main reason I wouldn't buy this teardrop. It's been poorly 'engineered.' In fact, it wasn't engineered, it was rigged. I really wanted to like this trailer, but I don't think I deal with the air conditioner hole. I guess I could frame it out for a window.

    I used your videos and modified my room almost exactly as you have and am sitting in it right now. Love it. I don’t have a sewing machine so what I did was use strait pins to create the pocket around the bungee cord and used P6000 glue versus sewing and glued the area from the straight pins to the edge of the cut line. I probably has about 3/4inch material I kept for glueing. Once the glue was dried, I pulled the straight pins out. Of course you have to be careful that you don’t let the glue get into the bungee cord pocket area. Worked great. You can see minor discoloration where the glue seeped through but it is minor in my mind. Seals up tight to the camper and no bugs. I will try to send a photo but haven’t figured that out yet.

    How did you wire the boost converter? Did you run a new separate wire from the tow vehicle battery to the boost converter and then to the lithium battery on your camper?

    • @adventuresofthememorymakers
      @adventuresofthememorymakers หลายเดือนก่อน

      On the tow vehicle I added a new lead from the battery that goes through a 30 amp resettable circuit breaker to a 12-volt relay that I can control from inside the cab. I pull power off the ignition side so it can only be on when the truck is running to run that relay. From the relay I ran a new wire back to the 7-way plug on the vehicle and tied into the 12 volt lead in the 7-way plug. Then I merely attached that wire on the camper to my 12-volt power converter. That way there is no direct connection between the vehicle electrical system and the lithium battery in the camper

    i always wanted to know a first hand review of actually riding a tandem bike. finally found one. thanks

    • @adventuresofthememorymakers
      @adventuresofthememorymakers หลายเดือนก่อน

      They are a little different to ride. You have to be aware of where the pedals are at for the rear Rider if you're in front. Most of the time they position the pedals 90° between the front and the rear and you need to keep that in mind if you're trying to lean the bike in a tight turn. Your pedals in the front may be clear the ground but you may drag the rear pedals which makes things a bit interesting. The rear Rider needs to trust the rider in front because they do not have any brakes back in the back. Took my wife a little while to get used to that fact I was not going to kill her. But we have a lot of fun on it now. The electric add-on really makes a big difference. It's just so hard to Pedal that tandem up a hill. I can ease in the electric power to help us pedal up hills making it so much more enjoyable.

    Nice video! I'm planning on doing something similar but with a Pelican 1600 case and the heater mounted to the lid; mainly so I can store all the hoses, pump, etc. inside the box. I'm wondering about your mount points in your camper walls. Did you use screws for this or through bolts? My trailer is all aluminum, including the wall studs, and I'm trying to determine if self-drilling screws would hold or if I need to bolt all the way through and secure with a nut on the inside. Thanks!

      Thank you for taking the time to watch. On ours I used sheet metal screws to hold it and that's worked fine. On the ones I'm out for customers I remove a speaker to access the inside of the wall and use bolts with large OD washers and Nylock nuts on the inside. The downside to mounting one to the lid is you can't have it all hooked up and then shut it back up. The way I did ours I'm able to leave it hooked up for days while we're at camp and shut the lid.

      @@adventuresofthememorymakers Thanks for the reply. I totally get your lid point, and I may end up going that direction, but my present goal is to get as much freed up of the limited storage space inside the trailer as possible. Right now my water heater and accessories is essentially occupying an entire plastic bin and, as I'm sure you know, it would be amazing to have that precious cargo space available inside!

      @@tequila_and_friends absolutely storage space is golden in a tiny camper. The Bushwacker is blessed with quite a bit of it then people go and remove the underbed storage. I personally don't know how we can live without that area

    Watched this video yesterday and then went to Lowe’s and bought the extended poles and fittings. On vacation at Bull Shoals in Arkansas so I can’t cut the fittings. I am using the one with a tennis ball inside the room. Great mod and thank you so much for this idea. We have had several thunder storms and one of my poles on the arbor room has bowed. Won’t know if it will retract yet, so may have to remove and order another one. They show out of stock, arggg, or I would have one waiting at home when I get back. I have had water in the room so I am hoping I can get that figured out soon because I love this room and my teardrop but that has been my biggest frustration so far. 😢

      @adventuresofthememorymakers หลายเดือนก่อน

      Totally understand your frustratiob. Please keep in mind that when the Australians designged these awnings and rooms they were just shelter from the sun. We get them here in the states and we expect them to be 3 season rooms. We have created several mods to help them handle the weather better but at the end of the day they are still tent rooms.

    • @BeccyAGarvin
      @BeccyAGarvin หลายเดือนก่อน

      I do understand that. Probably better than my partner does. LOL I think I need to raise my arb awning a bit so that the bottom sides are a little higher to help keep the water out. It’s even more of an issue when you have to lower a side but I started using bungee cords across the top on the hooks and then roll some of the bulk up from the inside a clip with clothes pins to the bungee straps. That has certainly helped on the last two rains. Now to figure out how to raise the entire tarp up a few inches. My trailer is low. I have my thinking cap on!! Thanks for your reply. I would love to do more of the mods you have done, but I don’t have the tools or the capabilities that you have.

    I have one and ordered one for a buddy so the shipping was more reasonable for 2. Just curious, is there a way to select what type of battery you added to it and it’s charge profiles thru the small solar controller?? Cause otherwise how does it know what type of battery you dropped into it?

    • @adventuresofthememorymakers
      @adventuresofthememorymakers หลายเดือนก่อน

      I believe the included solar controller is setup for a lithium battery as the default. I personally have never messed with switching the settings in it as I reppaced it with a larger Victron controller but if you search online I think there are instructions on how to switch modes on it.

    • @GoodhueOffGrid
      @GoodhueOffGrid หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@adventuresofthememorymakers Ok interesting, yeah I bought mine a year ago but was always skeptical about that. I realized an additional controller was always an option but just didn’t want to have something else hanging out the side, unless I placed a really large 150ah-280ah battery into it. I just over panel it(175watt flexible Renogy) which is within their input parameters to get a pretty constant max of 130w. I just emailed them to see if they have an answer. Their new ac box pro is sweet with some new features, remote on/off, wireless charging pad, more accurate display, 2 AC outlets, app control, and a smaller box design as many lifepo4 batteries have became smaller. Although they did eliminate a couple 50 amp Anderson connectors which is a bummer. Still pretty awesome and not much more than the original product $218 plus that darn shipping. Their dc control boxes are sweet for plug and play, and I couldn’t believe all the LONG cabling and connectors they include. I’m with ya, it’s a bargain and awesome to be able to basically change out the individual components yourself if they ever fail or years down the road when the battery degrades. Thanks for the response! Good video. 👍

    Does the extension bar with the tennis ball on it keep you from having to lower a corner when it rains? We always seem to get water in the room when we lower a corner from where the room gathers at the bottom and the zipper. What size t fittings did you use for the outside extension poles? Great mods and I am going to do some of these! Thanks for all the tips!

    • @adventuresofthememorymakers
      @adventuresofthememorymakers หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for taking the time to watch and nothe tennis ball does not prevent water from collecting. I simply used the tennis ball to get the room ceiling elevated so it did not rub on my head. We have another mod that we've been working on for almost a year now that prevents water from collecting on the awning without having to drop the corner of the room but we're just not quite ready to release it yet. I personally can't stand dropping the corner and since we've been using our modification we don't. I use a 3/4 inch CPVC T fitting. It snaps on to the inner tube of the sidearm that way if the room lift's a little in the wind it does not disconnect.

    Stupid question, I assume you need some sort of water pump? Do the pumps maintain a certain psi? I would assume you don’t have to keep turning it on and off all the time.

    • @adventuresofthememorymakers
      @adventuresofthememorymakers หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not a stupud question Sir. Yes, you need a water pump. Most Rv water pumps have their internalnpressure switch that turns the pump on and off as needed. Something like this one will work great with this heater set up. www.amazon.com/dp/B00P8BE6S8/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_apa_gl_i_BRKP2H7X22FQV810NX4C?linkCode=ml2&tag=adventur0592c-20

    Any reason this wouldn’t work attaching the unit to the lid? Therefore, keep the top open to vent and no access holes in the bottom with easier access. Great idea.

    • @adventuresofthememorymakers
      @adventuresofthememorymakers หลายเดือนก่อน

      Two reasons I didn't attach to the lid. The Apache box isn't strong enough to carry the weight on the lid. I can shut the lid with the water heater all hooked up this way but had I mounted it on the lid I could not.
