Notching the tarp for the wheel is brilliant. That will be a big (but small) improvement to my awning + 4Runner camping set up
I have one of those campers with the ARB awnings and room. Thanks for the great videos and tips ! Very helpful.
The Wizard of Mods- Awning Master!!!

You make great videos that are fun to watch and always full of creative stuff. Can’t wait to more!
Thank you dorothy!
Thanks so much for these videos. I have a Hike trailer. Ordered the Arb and planning to install. I got the 6.5 ft wide. If I was brave I would try to do the door mod myself but may be getting ahold of you.
Just send us an email at thewizardofmodz@gmail.com
We can fix you up
Big thanks
Thank you so much, I've reluctant to use the annex with the wind and rain coming in. I was pretty much had it in mind to do a number of things you went over, but now I'm good to go.... thanks. t
You're very welcome sir and thank you for watching. I hope this video helps you get the most out of your Annex room. Please stay tuned For an upcoming video that shows how we deal with preventing water from collecting on top of our Annex room
Nice job as always Sam!
Thank you Tom. Hope all is well up your way!
Nice job, Sam.
Thank you Emma!
Well done. Noticed you have the lighted version of the awning. I've noticed that the power connector on the awning side tends to get deformed when rolled up during Oklahoma summers making it difficult to connect to the extension that plugs into a 12 volt connection. Have you found a good "protective cover" that won't cut or stress the awning fabric when rolling it up? I've been thinking about leaving that "pig tail" out while rolling and maybe using a wooden bead with a bigger hole drilled into it.
Thank ypu for watching. I myself have not experienced that issue but I can see where it could happen. The wood bead is a good idea or just swap the connector out.
I love this. I have a Runaway Range Runner. Do you do ARB mods for it?
Please send us an email at thewizardofmodz@gmail.com and we will discuss that with you.

Does the extension bar with the tennis ball on it keep you from having to lower a corner when it rains? We always seem to get water in the room when we lower a corner from where the room gathers at the bottom and the zipper. What size t fittings did you use for the outside extension poles? Great mods and I am going to do some of these! Thanks for all the tips!
Thank you for taking the time to watch and nothe tennis ball does not prevent water from collecting. I simply used the tennis ball to get the room ceiling elevated so it did not rub on my head. We have another mod that we've been working on for almost a year now that prevents water from collecting on the awning without having to drop the corner of the room but we're just not quite ready to release it yet. I personally can't stand dropping the corner and since we've been using our modification we don't.
I use a 3/4 inch CPVC T fitting. It snaps on to the inner tube of the sidearm that way if the room lift's a little in the wind it does not disconnect.
Thank you for your quick reply! I look forward to watching your new video!
Is there a trick to getting the sag out of the awning room? Mine catches water in the rain.
Thank you for watching and one of our next videos will be the device that I created to eliminate Rainwater retention. Stay tuned and it will be out soon.
, will do, thank you
