It's a slick little device. There's no on-off switch but considering how long the battery seems to last I can put a new battery in at the start of the season and probably run all season on One battery.

I have this! Turns out, looking I bought for my Colorado trail trip in 2020. Been hanging on my backpack zipper since then. Still works!

Very timely. I was just thinking about looking into this area. My last trip I noticed the power draw being higher than normal while traveling to my destination. It was my cue that the fridge door was likely open, which it was and now has a cinch strap keeping it closed. The fridge in my 12 SK seems to keep things cool, not cold or frozen. I can tell by the touch method if things are cold or cool inside the fridge. I just picked up a portable fridge for frozen items so I can dump my ice chest finally. I just ordered the twin pack, so I can monitor the Original fridge and my new portable fridge/freezer. Must have been reading my mind. Thanks. Hopefully see you & Cindy at the Boil.

Works great! We use our BougeRV fridge on car road trips, as well, and once the 12v plug wiggled loose and we almost didn’t catch it.

So I went out camping this past weekend, and for some reason my cooler kept throwing me an E1 reading. I caught this just in time before the cooler got too hot. Not so sure why I was getting the E1 error (I think there's something wrong with the DC power in my Class C), but after this incident, and having seen this video, I am getting two of these doohickeys for both coolers. Thanks Sam! I didn't realize how timely this would be!

Heat rises and your sensor is at the top....so cool down will appear to lag.

That is what I was thinking as well. It did its job and alerted me in the middle of the night that PPS battery had dropped a cell!
