Thanks Bryan. It's not perfect and the roof might need some help to get it shed water in a down pour, already have a plan. It's going to work fabulously for what we and so many others need, a quick simple shelter to do multiple task in!
Thank you for giving detailed ideas on how to improve accessorizing teardrop campers, I am new in the game, just bought a Modern Bug 12 LRK last month and I'm glad I found your channel. You are a great instructor and a very supportive significant other. Looking forward learning from all the improvements that you have made to your beautiful camper.
@@salegado71 thank you very much for the kind comment. Hopefully we can continue to help you in the future as we have lots of ideas for future projects.
Hi guys, wow thank you very much that gives me so much of a wonderful idea. I have a space bond camper here in Australia and I’ve been looking at putting a little room on the side of my camper, especially I have a disability and only have one leg. That’s a big fantastic to have a shower and toilet room. Absolutely enjoyed your video , Cliff from Logan City Queensland Australia
That is so nice how you did that opening over the door. I wish I could have you do mine like that. Bc of you, I didn't know I could add a tent awning, so now ordering one from ARB. Great job! You could have a side gig doing this.
Thank you for watching and funny you say that. We have opened the Wizard of Modz Mod Shop! Other owners gave me the nickname and we ran with it. Working on one as I type this.
As always, truly impressive. Alas, even with this mod, it would still be a struggle for my wife to climb out of the camper 2-3 times a night, so we have to stay with our self-contained Class C. But I think for those who can do it, this is a really terrific solution. What I want to know is - who has to climb over whom to get to the room at night???
Thanks Sam for all the videos and great ideas! You and Cindy make a awesome team. I have a Runaway Range Runner (6x8 version). Your mod will be a "Game Changer" for us as well. There are similar challenges to add the Kickass shower on our camper as well! I'll be adapting your designs & techniques. Question: Do you mark material (to be cut out) to the outside of the rubber channel or the center approximately where the cord would ride? I'm probably overthinking and the hem most likely compensates for either or. Unfortunately no sewing machine here so I'll probably be taking to a local seamstress to hem it and put the cord in. TIA for any advise. Mike Florida
@@mcamicsuncoasttooldesign4169 thank you for taking the time to watch. Glad the video is our help. It's not that critical on the marking of the location on the gutter track. And don't freak out when you go to put it around the door and it looks extremely large Once you pull the shock cord tight it all comes together
Thank you sir. Yes it has a roof if you get the Kickass Premium shower room like this one. amzn.to/3O4PIgU We will have a new video out soon with a fix for the roof as it tends to hold water in the rain. I made a simple fix for that. Check back soon for that video. As far as keeping the dew off your shoes, as along as you have the roof rolled out then it will keep the dew off of them.
Thank you Sir. I get the poly vinyl board at Home Depot. A 12ft 1x6 is about 45 dollars today. The shaving drive me nuts as they stick to everything like magnets but I use this product a lot for all.sorts of uses on campers and houses as it will never rot! It's not a structural product but beyond that it's awesome!
@wvoutdoorsman5326 I follow a cargo trailer conversion FB page as I have a 6x12 United high top enclosed trailer that I use for a work trailer. I get a lot of neat ideas from the members there.
I also really appreciate the effort you put forth to let us see the entire process of putting this together. I know that wasn't easy. Doing it is one thing, filming and doing it is a completely different monster. @@adventuresofthememorymakers
@@PlayingwithSticksthank you. I didn't think it was really a DIY project so I did't film the actual process but wanted others to at least see what was involved. We are on the road and after 2000 miles its even better than I had hoped with benefits beyond what I had even thought of. We will put out part 2 discussing them soon.
@@PlayingwithSticks , I apologize. It was the .iddle of the night and I thought you were commenting on our new video about extending the tongue of your camper. I didn't catch the fact it was the multipurpose shower video. The shower room is an awrsome mod that we use everytime we camp. I have modified it further to make it usuable in the rain. The wind is howling up to 30 mph now and it is setup. Its awesome!
Sam built Cindy approved! 😄 I love the 'Rooms by Sam'! I want to do both.
They both are awesome additions to the teardrop. Cindy highly recommends both!
Nice job Sam! You kept saying you had a solution to the biggest weakness of these rooms and as you say "you hit it out of the ball park!"

Very interesting idea. I will try to do this as my van is small. Maybe on one of the sliding doors. Thx for the video!
