    Great video Sam... multiple use is key!

    Good morning Sam. I have one of these as well. It was my original choice to try to power my Class C on DC alone. I'll be emailing later in the day.

    Hi, love your videos. I have a 30 ft Catalina. Are you planning more videos concerning your boat and the electrical system?

      Thank you very much for watching sir. We will probably show the doctor prepare battery in the boat but I don't have plans for a video on the electrical system in the boat. It's a very simple system though and I'm just not sure many people would watch.

    Price wise, it's not great vs other reputable LFPs.. but the hub on this thing makes it appealing.
    I ended up just getting their newer 12V/100AH mini @ $199 and might just buy the hub by itself ($30 w/ free shipping) to use via anderson power pole connection

      I agree, the price is salty but the quality components they used caused that. If it just had blue tooth monitoring it would have been really slick!

    Is this the same battery you had inside the portable case that you had shown a few videos back? It seems that this does everything you would need it to do. You just don't have an inverter with it. I am guessing that your battery compartment that you had shown had the inverter in it as well.
    Great video and I am now very interested in this battery.
    Thanks,
    Pat

      Correct Pat, it would easily power the camper in a setup like we have. To me the Licitti box is more useful for work and camping becauze of the inverter and the MPPT controller. That said, we use the Dr Prepare through the external power option if our tongue box to power the camper in order to save power in the Licitti power station.

    As I watched this latest video, I couldn’t help but wonder is it a PWM or a MPPT controller in the hub? Great video BTW.

    • @adventuresofthememorymakers
      @adventuresofthememorymakers  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      First off thank you very much for watching. I was curious about that same issue so I reached out to Dr Prepare and ask them via email and they responded back that it is a "pwm controller with mppt technology". Knowing how both types of controllers work I have no idea how they were able to mamage that one but it does charge the battery off of a 100 watt solar panel.

    How can I recharge from my power station? Also will it run a 60amp 12 volt ac unit?

    • @adventuresofthememorymakers
      @adventuresofthememorymakers  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@patrickilfrey4543 thank you for watching. First, charging from a power station is essentially charging one battery from another battery which is very ineffiecent. You could use your power station to.power a 120v lithium battery charger but again, a very ineffecient use of the power station.
      2nd, will it run a 60amp load, yes, but only for a little over an hour as it only has 100 amh of capacity.

    Great video. I do have a question…. Why did you not just buy a portable power station like the Anker C1000? That way you would be able to use it in your house if the power went out. Multi purpose.

    • @adventuresofthememorymakers
      @adventuresofthememorymakers  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for watching. The Liciti City AC heavy duty power box has a built-in inverter as well. It's a true portable power station just like the Anker. We do use it in the house when the power goes out. The big difference between the Liciti and the other power stations on the market is that it's a 12-volt power station instead of a higher voltage battery pack so there's no conversion process to get 12 volts out of the licity versus the other major power stations on the market.

      @adventuresofthememorymakers lithium batteries are definitely a game changer! I have a 2023 Tag XL Boondock and just swapped out the lead battery with a new LiTime lithium battery. It has built in Bluetooth so I can monitor it from an app on my phone.
      I also have the Anker C1000 that I plug into the trailer when we are camping. I plug it into the side of the trailer with a 30amp plug. It will run my AC or inside heater.
      Tons of power between the 2 batteries and 380 watts solar we could be off grid for months! 😂
      Keep up the great work on that trailer. Maybe one day we will meet on a trail or camping?
      Cheers!

      1. It's twice the price.
      2. Not everyone wants an AC inverter permanently attached to their LFP battery.
      3. AIO units like that are typically not very water resistant.
      4. DC output (wattage) is lacking...

    Looking to kick on a mini split ac. Think this will handle it?

    • @adventuresofthememorymakers
      @adventuresofthememorymakers  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's hard for me to answer without knowing what the power consumption of your mini split system is. Typically on 100 amp hour battery you probably don't want more than 1,000 to 1,200 W inverter running off of it so you need to make sure that your mini split will start and run off of less than a thousand watts.

    • @707clearconciseimpactful8
      @707clearconciseimpactful8 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Still shopping a affordable mini split that is low power consumption

      @@adventuresofthememorymakers I was curious about your findings if you happen to to research the ecoflow line in comparison to the dr prepped considering the advantages of the integration of the separate components and the battery backup with the air conditioning

    • @adventuresofthememorymakers
      @adventuresofthememorymakers  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I will be honest, I have zero experience with mini splits for campers. I know there are some nice units on the market, I just don't have any info on them.
      From my personal experience with the AC in our camper I would recommend at least 2000 wh of power minimum to get through the night.
