My prior trailer was totaled by the insurance due to the severe hail storm back in May 9/2024. The replacement, although nothing fancy is a pretty good deal that I got from Magnum Trailers. I search for weeks and believe it or not, Magnum was super easy to deal with and they gave me a deal on this trailer.
It is a base Continental Cargo car hauler 20ft V-nose, 8.5 ft wide, 6 lug wheels (heavier duty axles than prior) but with bare plywood flooring and panels, and no roof insulation.
To get ready to haul my car, I decided to go with outdoor carpeting from Home Depot and coin rubber flooring (which I got from Amazon - go figure). The expensive stuff was actually the glue necessary for the carpet and urethane glue fore the rubber flooring.
Although not in the video, I added 2 more tie downs closer to the walls up front that allow me to tie the car down by the front wheels easily. The rear was fine. I also installed my super winch from the old trailer using the same U bolts etc. I did not video that install since it's fairly straight forward.
The carpet is a plain outdoor carpet that is glued to the walls using outdoor/indoor glue and the rubber flooring is glued down with a urethane glue. My prior trailer had the rubber floor floating which unfortunately moved around a bit. This time....it's glued and will stay put.
I also ended up grabbing some aluminum 1/16" thick angle to cover the edge at the floor and wall. Make things look nice the tight.
Another project wrapped up...and ready for some car hauling. Since the trailer looks so good...I will probably keep it in the shop rather than outside all the time.
