  • Here's a quick vid of my efforts to finish up the foaming underneath the rest of the house.
As always, it almost went to plan but not so much. I ended up running out of foam once the master bedroom was done so another set of barrels were acquired. I ran our of acetone in one season and had to stop prematurely to get more, and of course fun with the gun.
As is the case with A and B closed cell foam the A side is just a pain to deal with. It causes blockages and requires more diligent cleaning of the gun parts. I have a process now but it still bites me from time to time and I had to order yet another set of the one-way ball valves to keep rolling. It is vital to close off the supply valves to the gun and then purge with acetone and then air. I have also resorted to removing the A side components from the gun (when I have to leave the stuff setup for a few days - typically a no-no) since that stuff sets and hardens in the orifices of the gun. I usually use several different size drill bits to clean things nicely and it's ready to roll.
Anyway, the house is DONE!!!! Yeepee.
Since I had to get more foam, the shop gets the rest and I'll start with the western facing wall that gets to a nice 145 degrees at times. I may run out after that but the rest of the shop will have to wait. Next video will be of the fun times in the shop.
As always thanks for the support from family and friends. We love it!
    CYA til next time...
