Deck Railing time

One of the last big jobs to do - the railing on the deck and stairs.
As with the upper deck we used the locking bars for the posts which I blasted clean and welded the brackets tight. 1/2 the deck which is a typical deck will get lag screws and the stairs will have all the posts welded on.
The same style as the upper deck with 1x3" tube for the deck top rail and 1x2 for the stairs. It sure makes going up and down from the deck to the ground a lot easier.
The cross pieces are 1/2" and 3/8" round bar with the top and bottom being 1/2 and the middle the 3/8.
Angie helped hold the posts while I secured them to the deck and stairs. Fairly easy job.
On the side we are still waiting for the replacement pool liner which unfortunately is taking longer than anticipated. Seems strange to stretch the time out since they messed up and now we're once again 3-4 weeks behind having the pool completed. What gives with some companies! Sad. We will not recommend them to anybody unfortunately. Their lose.
On the side paneling...this is getting very frustrating. We are still waiting on the Specialty Roofing guys to come back. They have side stepped us and have been taking on jobs in San Antonio and are leaving us on the back burner. Can't say much but this is a ridiculous way to run a business. As usual, I will have to stretch myself and do a lot of the work myself. Our $$ ain't green enough I guess. Sad!!!
On a good note: the deck is now completed except the pool. We will also be installing led strip lights all over the place (ambient light) that will surround the pool and the deck itself.
On the plate is more spray foam - underneath the containers (1" thick) which will consume 1 full set of barrels. The weather has changed unfortunately and it has been fairly cold (50-60's in the morning). However I am planning on hitting it next week (last week of Oct). After the foam, which will also be applied to the game room floor we will install a nice plank ceiling above the deck and finally put fans and lights in in the back. YAY!
