What foreigners don't understand about these shut downs is that 20 years ago, people in rural Japan used to come to the city for entertainment, almost every weekend. Now, mall culture is much more prevalent in smaller towns, especially with Aeon Malls pretty much everywhere, and each with a huge entertainment centre. The closing of these arcades isn't a sign of bad times. It's a sign that the rest of Japan was becoming more commercial. What about international tourists? Like any business, traditional sega-type arcades relied on regulars, tourist aren't regulars, they want a bite sized experience, enough to instagram. That alone isn't the problem, the problem is that their general approach to arcades is a turnoff to local regulars, leading them back to their hometown (Aeon Mall) arcades, that are tourist free. Joypolis is an answer to that and is really about tourist experiences, both International, and those within Japan that just don't go to the big city as often as they used to.

My question is how did you transport everything back to the US? Did you mail it out from the airport or buy another luggage from Don Quijote?😅

I wouldnt say worst of all time but build divers (not re rise. I liked re rize). Only watched it for the fights and the good bits of story (it does have its moments). There is probably a worse one out there but i might not know it Watched CCA, Unicorn (my favorite), Narrative, Hathaways flash, 00, ibo, fighters, fighter try, divers, divers re rise, metaverse (too short), seed, seed destiny, seed freedom (favorite movie), seed stargazer, 08th ms team (haven't finished yet), and Cucuruze doans island. That's all I remember I watched of the top of my head. Tried watching the og gundam show/movies and the animation is just too old for me (no offense intended just have a limit)

Tokyo just ruins you for shopping/living anywhere else. It's a real bummer when you return home after living there and realise you can't just hop on the metro and find just about anything hobby, art or merch related with infinite choice, and have to rely on the internet instead - even dumb things like stationery or greetings cards. You go in a regular store and think, 'Oh, yeah, right.... the selection here sucks!' or if they even have what you're looking for used, the condition sucks in comparison. Or 'why is every store closing so early, it's not even 7pm yet!'
