I think the thing that sells it the most for me is the use of off-white in various places. I think a lot of gunpla builders have a tendency to do a lot of things through the lens of this specific hobby and don't look to other scale modelling/miniature painting techniques and styles. The colors and shading are doing a lot to sell the idea of the whole piece here and not just "I preshaded a mobile suit and its in an action pose". Almost feels like looking at a still from the OVA!
@@Snacks256Urgh.. I hate that trend. More so if they don’t even have a design sense. Don’t get me wrong, I love details as much as the next guy, but at the expense of focus and balance? No thanks.. Count me out of the “Let’s just fill it up with all the shit we can” club.
Speaking of flimsy messes i just built the RG Zeta and although it looks great i had to super glue everything basically. They shouldnt have bothered with the transforming aspect of that one.
I was there at the Richmond event! (I was the one with the Mega Grade RX-78) I'm still blown away by the work and detail you put into this. Be proud of what you've done and how far you got!
Amazing!!! Great work and very inspiring. I’ve been building off and on for about ten or more years now, and finally got around to finishing my sinanju stein ver.ka that’s been in my closet for 6 years and I can’t stop building again. Anyways thanks for your videos I am really enjoying your channel.
That's a really old kit which is notorious for needing lots of TLC. You brought that kit to life and it looks super clean! Very well done and congrats on placing
I got to admit, I actually admire your courage to use this kit as your GBWC build because this was actually my first Gunpla kit ever and it didn't go so well per say lmao. Amazing work.
Congratulations! Impressive!! I love the Gundam blue. It's kind of greyish and blend in well with the rest of the body colours. Somehow it gives you this sense of realistic mechanical feel to it. Well done!
Pretty much all tamiya basic type for this. These days I will also sometimes use milliput though. The tamiya will often require more than one coat and sand
Hey I know this is an older video, but I was wondering if you have any recommended resources on learning to airbrush in the style you are using. Any video or website you could point me to would be fantastic.
i really like the posing and composition, it reminisces of an angel with a lance descending from heaven in a renaissance painting. and honestly wouldnt be able to tell you were "new" to the hobby and airbrushing, the weathering and shading is fantastic
Beautiful, the subtle colour changes are absolutely masterful. I love how the colour of the armour shifts from darker blue to off-white then almost yellow.
Finally a woman builder who don't use booba to gain views. Got yourself a new subscriber. That's a really dope build! you really deserve more appreciation.

Thank you so much! I agree! I look to a lot of vintage modeling magazines for inspiration!
I appreciate avoiding the "scribe a hundred new panels and paint them gray" thing too many builders seem to rely on.

I just tried to copy what I saw in old Hobby Japan magazines to be honest! My fav gunpla channel is www.youtube.com/@vegeta8259/videos
Professional 👍
thanks!
@@pixxellie I'm a new Sub on your channel.
Hey that's not bad at all!
thank you! :)

Thank you so much! That’s kind of what I was going for with the posing! 😊
Congratulations and yes go into depth with it please
Hmm maybe I will do a follow up. There were a few things I skipped over
Beautiful, the subtle colour changes are absolutely masterful. I love how the colour of the armour shifts from darker blue to off-white then almost yellow.
Thank you! That’s all thanks to mr weathering color! I used several shades of their brown and black. That stuff is magical!
🥰🥰❤️

Is your model kit that old? Are there still that many old kits in circulation?
yeah. bandai reprints some old kits from time to time. you can still find them. i just bought a reprint of a kit from 2000 not too long ago
the kit is from 1997 so it's 27 years old! like Tomten said bandai reprints them, but you can also find them at many used shops such as ebay.
0083?
yep
Congratulations! I don't think though it's a mastergrade. And it doesn't have a core fighter inside.
