Great video of 2 of my favorite stores in Akihabara! I like that you showed more obscure games and so on! Definitely need to pick up Silhouette Mirage and Chou Anaki in the future!
Thanks for watching! I’ve been into retro collecting for so long to be honest it’s only the really weird and obscure stuff that gets me interested these days!
some very cool finds here! always love to see the gamecube keyboard controller, i never knew about the Super Gameboy 2, and seeing Spot goes to Hollywood for the saturn is such a trip lol, still can't get over how Cool Spot for the megadrive is such a sleeper hit of a platformer
I saw a copy of Tane wo Maku Tori for Wonderswan, if you haven't got that, it's a great little game and the manual is a beautiful little storybook! Thanks for checking out the Wonderswan sections!
I've heard that the Saturn version of Suikoden is the definitive version that added several scenes. I'd love to get myself a copy one of these days to see what's all different from the PS1 version.
Silent Mobius is also a great anime. A very cool mix of cyberpunk and sorcery. Like Bubblegum Crisis, it has a female ensemble cast, each with distinct skills and abilities and unrealistic, but cool names. Unfortunately, despite having a 26 episode series and 2 movies, there is no proper animated conclusion. The series ends on what feels like the promise of more, but there was never a second season. And the english translation of the manga is frustratingly difficult to find (I don't even know if that translation covers the entire manga)
@@pixxellie Yeah, the art and general design is great. Very Blade Runner-ish, like most Japanese cyberpunk. The Japanese truly love that movie, probably more than anyone else.
That’s not entirely true!!! You can get a lot of really great imports for $5, such as the virtua fighter series. Saturn is actually still one of the most affordable retro consoles! Sure there are expensive games, but there is a TON of quality in the $5-25 range, especially with first party sega stuff
Beep and Surugaya are much more interesting than super potato or mandrake imo prices are just way too high. Everytime im in town i make sure to go beep/surugaya.
I agree! I think super potato has become kind of a tourist trap unfortunately. Mandrake can have good stuff, but not the Akiba location (in my experience anyway).
@@DicePunk If you're into mecha games theres also quite a few that support the mech twin stick controller from virtual on! I might do a video on those at some point.

So mcuh cool cover art!! I've definitely been curious about Princess Maker. Very interesting life sim
I like Surugaya. I ordered many games from their website.
Surugaya rules! This was a really time location with some cool niche titles

I love cool spot for mega drive/genesis!
good finds jammy
I try my best! 😄
10:55 there was a SF Memory Cassette there! Wish you talked about it, hadn't seen one of those before in retro shops
I didn't even notice it!!!

I have been interested in that game but I know I don’t tend to stick with puzzlers for very long so I want to see if I can get it for a bit cheaper!
Incredible stores! More like video game museums. Love the video!
Thanks for watching! I agree! Half the fun is just in looking at everything!
Im a simple man I see Suikoden i click like and subscribe, i didn't know they made a saturn version! 😮
@@BMJYDK Suikoden 1 is one of my fav rpgs of all time! Thanks for the sub!

Oh that’s cool I didn’t know that!
Have a good weekend!
you too! lol

I actually have a random vintage issue of the manga and have been into the art for a long time! I need to check out the anime soon!

Great price for the super gameboy2
ive always wanted a sega saturn. sadly it's so expensive now to start a new collection even with a few titles

@@pixxellie you may be entirely right. i apologize for my lack of knowledge on this system. looks like the games i want are the more rarer one's lol
@@kidrobot. no need to apologize! We are all always learning about the hobby ☺️
What's up with all of these cute retro game collectors popping up everywhere? Subbed!!!

I thank you for making this videos you are a beautiful kind person
thank you! ^__^
Ah geez Leynos 2 is soooo expensive...
I didn’t think it was too bad! But maybe it’s gone up in recent times
@pixxellie I haven't started my sega journey yet. Planning to do so next year. Hopefully the prices won't rise by much more.
@@DicePunk Saturn has been pretty stable for a while, especially imports so I think you're good!
@pixxellie that's good! There's a ton of saturn-exclusive guns and mecha games I want to get into. Especially the FPS ones. Thanks for the video!

Fun Video but I'd better stay away from these places , I'd go broke. 😂
You can’t escape the collectors fate! Lol
First. 😃
