Thats awesome ive been in japan a few months now, dropped 15k so far on retro games! Surugaya always gets better the further you go from the big cities!
Great presentation! Had I known Shizuoka has a Suragaya store there when I was visiting there, I would have visited. Next time for sure. So many games to review. Thank you for the video!
At 4:05 Patlabor! I haven’t played that one. As a huge Patlabor fan, I’m surprised that you have such vast knowledge of all these retro IP’s! Great videos of this store. Gonna have to check it out some day.
@@pixxellie The only one I've played is Mobile Police Patlabor : Game Edition (2000) . That looked great - for the time - and it even extended the story and added new characters, which was great. Your videos are great as I wasn't aware of the places you're covering. Keep up the great work!
Great Videos and all of them quite informative! Good job. Can you please, sometime in the future, show us more of the PC retro stuff? Like Win95 retro games, pc-98 etc
@Pixxellie, I wish you have covered the xbox section (I know xbox is not very popular in Japan). If you have any footage from the xbox section maybe you can upload it in a future video :)
The tins somehow took me back to the back left corner of my old local computer depot with all the early DOS games in their huge randomly sized boxes, no standard to speak of. Good memories, even though our pc wouldn’t run most of them.
That DS game with the pen, I remember buying that new in 2008, during one of my trips in Japan, that was when the dollar tanked! It was 80 yen for a $1. That lasted till 2013. Lol, memories. Seeing that complete for that low price, wow. Crazy how things are cheap now, I'll be there for TGS soon..
Went to the Shizuoka Surugayas back in January and was so surprised at how much better it was than most Tokyo locations. Its expected of course since it's both not in Tourist Center Tokyo and being the flagship store, but it still felt amazing to browse around and buy way too much stuff
Can‘t wait ! From now on its a week till i take my flight ! My first stop is gonna be suragaya in Nagoya , bur u have a question can i play all games feom the game swan with the game swan color or do i need the crystal version to be able to play all ? And thanks for the vlog i love it ! ❤️
Was there 3 weeks ago. Finally found Esp Ra De for Switch! Awesome selection - some items were very cheap others a little expensive. Highly recommended.
Such a great selection AND good prices! I love how everything is so neat and most of the selection is in fantastic shape. It's unfortunate nowadays in the USA that all of those keys on thr keyboards would be ripped out lol. Japan is Def on another level.'
A Tamagotchi with waifus?! Now Japan has got things figured out, haha. I just finished the Sakura Wars reboot on PS4 and loved it. Might have to look into the older ones, as I know it was huge over there. Have you played Riviera? It just got a remaster on Steam & Switch pretty recently, and I've been thinking about picking it up since I missed out on it back in the day.
I've been to the Surugaya right there next to BEEP a fair amount of times before. Didn't realize their flagship was all the way down in Shizuoka. 😯 I'm always down for a good selection and deals, though. Looks like it's worth the trip when I make my way back to Japan next year.
I hope the next Nintendo game boxes will have more personality like the Super Famicom. Especially the spine, the red and white is really boring. Thanks for the tour Ellie 😊😊😊
Other great Japan Gaming TH-camrs are 4amLaundry Mad Panic Gaming Retro Moments and ScruffyRGB I’ve been blessed to have all consoles and tons of games from 1980-Now
I've been away of the retro hunting thing for long time, but my god, what are those prices for pokemon games?!?! I bought a set of red, green, blue, yellow, gold, silver, crystal and TCG1 all in box, with the manuals and box inserts for just 10,000 JPY just 5 years ago
@@pixxellie I go to Akiba twice a month and I remember seeing 1st gen Pokémon games for around 8.000 jpy but 1man!! Inflation and shops taking advantage of weak yen I guess 🤷♂️
You keep saying good prices, but they seem expensive to me. Maybe that's why they have lots of games in stock? High prices means they aren't selling these games quickly.

I think I would honestly need a day just in the Saturn section. Amazing store!

So Shizuoka is home to both Bandai manufacturing and excellent retro gaming stores? Man, some people get all the breaks. Excellent video!
aint that the truth!
I would jump on that CIB Mr. Driller in a heartbeat! Best version of the game too!

What a wonderful store! The prices of JP Pokemon games vs the NA versions for CIB are certainly crazy different
thats for sure!
I have yet to go to the Surugaya store in Shizuoka which is a little far for me, but when I have time in the next few weeks, I’ll be sure to go

Riviera is one of the few games I sold off because I just did not enjoy it! I might have to give it another shot though.

I was just talking about that the other day! I really hope the next system has more interesting cases than the switch!
Is Shizuoka worth visiting overall? Anything to see? Cheers.

Hello! No plans to go right now!
@@pixxellie Okay..
Any Neo Geo AES games in that particular store?

I bought the yugioh Fire Kings structure deck and I love it 🔥 ♥️

Wow, I could stay an entire weekend in this store just to discover all it has to offer.
Nice channel on Japan model.
