Mother-32 VS Minilogue XD | Battle of the Analog Synths
มุมมอง 15K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Today we are talking about two absolute heavy hitters in the analog synth world, and two insanely great starting points for getting into analog sound design: Moog Mother-32 and the Korg Minilogue XD. They are very different synthesizers as we’ll see, but what they do share in common is their completely analog sound generation. Mother-32 and Minilogue XD are at a similar price point so I want to...
Making a Track with One Synth
มุมมอง 2.3K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Hope you’re all having a wonderful Fall! In 2021, I recorded an entire track using just one synthesizer. So I wanted to share with you some of the ways I created this entire track, and some of the hurdles I had to jump over to make it happen. This method does take time, but I must admit it is super fun controlling every aspect of the sound with my fingertips while recording. Thank you all for s...

Ghost Ocean | Mother-32 Generative Ambience
Hey Shines, Beautiful stuff. No fluff, clearly laid out. Thanks for creating!
So much better than the manual! Great tutorial, thanks!
So much talent
Can you please grade your footage..!!!!!!!! its not supposed to look like that
I'm a musician putting together a completely self-contained wearable cosplay outfit that has a "sonic utility belt" that has speakers on it, and I needed a tiny mixer to go on the belt as well. I tried a passive mixer that just didn't do the trick. This is the perfect solution - battery powered, rechargeable, extremely small, lots of features and good FX, and more. So if you want to know who this is for, I guess it would be me. Haters gonna hate, but this is the best mini-mixer available. Perfect.
Minilogue xd is an amazing synth, not sure why he is so harsh on it. They are totally different instruments.
Great tutorial. Will need to see it again to catch all the details, bit very clean and easy to follow.
Definitely the clearest tutorial on this subject out there. Thanks a lot.
Was this or the spectra next. I think the latter is going to be later
Great stuff man
Just a wonderful video! Please keep us updated along with your future Pluto explorations.
The machine is decent, but where is that dwarf planet?
Wow I thought I'd grab one of these because they're so beautiful and I've always wanted something from Teenage Engineering, only to see it costs significantly more than my Tascam 24 mixer
Is that a vcv rack on iPad or just a screen mirroring?
subscribed! I've got my Mother-32 connected to a Hologram Electronics Microcosm then into a Behringer UMC1820 then to the Mac and Logic Pro. I've only had the Moog for a few a days, but I expect great things :)
Xd goes through a digital effects section at the end of chain which i feel really takes away from the sound and tone. Xd has way more options and better over all but the mother 32 has a better sound.

Excellent
Excellent video, as some people mentioned, it's so great to watch a detailed and focused video. Good job!
Hell to the naw naw no undo I’m more then satisfied with my original OP-1 that sits on the shelf 😮One Love my brother I appreciate your thoughts 💭 as well.!!!
LETS GO! TEACH ME HOW TO MARIE KONDO MY SYNTHS! I'M READY! :D
Geht’s noch schneller !
What camera are you using? Great video!
thank you
Do these synths need updates? Pressing both arrows and pressing 1-4 does nothing to mine. Bummer.
1st tip, take a direct line out from your device, NEVER use a phone mic and say .. it will do !
"Shines here" lol
Thanks for this, just what I was looking for to get started with my first self generative ambient patches on my Moog Sound Studio and The Godfather setup
Thanks for this comparison. A really useful contrast, and good overview of the different systems IMHO.
Great video! I just ordered one. 🎉
Good tutorial, a little fast on the delivery.
beautiful colour grading; to the point; less than 5 minutes (I see most of your videos are!); another DAWless practitioner; subbed! Keep it up :)
Is this VA? It doesn´t sound analog.
The best tutoriel on youtube! Thank’s for this ❤️
appreciated the second half, thank you. First half didn't make sense to me, tbh. When you are recording midi instruments that we hear in the first half, are these instruments from within your daw? i.e OP1 is a controller? Otherwise how does the DAW use the OP1's synth instruments recording and storing playback as midi data? Will it stop working if the OP1 is unplugged? Would greatly appreciate it if you do reply and can understand/explain what i am misunderstanding. Thank you
Why am I watching this, I don‘t have a mother32 haha
Where is the demo bro dont fokin care bout your stupid shows
Eccezionale ✌️
✌️ Pezzo grandioso. Come fare questa patch?
Um, this blew my mind. Thanks. 🤘
Your 19 step sequence was 😚👌
🔥
Definitely a groove!🔥
where dat midi video at? you promised!
Do you feel it’s limited having only four steps per voice?
Keep in mind you can only externally midi control OP-1 "Synth" OR "Drums". Not both at the same time, which is a bummer. would be nice to add a external sequencer that controls the "OP-1 Drums" for more control. While playing the keys.
I couldn't really enjoy this review because you talk so much over the sound of the synths.
Thanks for making this, so difficult to find technical tutorials for OP-1 and OP-1 Field, please make more if possible!
Amazing video! If you made a product of that woodwork case i'd totally buy one😍
Loving you r moog 32 vids, great ground-up approach 👍🏻
