Great video, editing and generell effort put in!!! Also very useful outlook on creative processes. I completely agree, a small effort each day pays off big time. Just turn your synth on, and play a few notes...maybe it will turn into a few hours sooner than you know.
Building on your Notebook ideas - consider including a "Progress Summary" (similar to Daniel Pink's To Done list)...there is nothing better to read during periods of frustration than the cumulative list of progress on tasks completed. Learning lists are great too...make a top 5 lists of (project-related) learnings you would like to accomplish...i.e. DAW shortcuts or midi mapping, etc, etc....

I’ve found that I like to finish my day job work by early afternoon, and then get out of the house with a portable music setup to get some creativity going. So I’ve been investing a lot more into a super portable setup lately, and been loving that. I think it’s great advice to think smaller, though. Half the time I don’t do anything is because then next thing feels too big.
very right advice, I try to do everything you said. But often I can't even touch a synthesizer and so at work I write a lot and jot down ideas for different videos than usual. Increase creativity and who knows maybe something useful comes out for better productions.
Thank you!! Sometimes "done" is better than "perfect" if you know what I mean. I think we put too much pressure on ourselves to finish something perfectly, and if we just slow down and inch toward our goals, we can fix mistakes along the way!

Portable is the best!! That way you can escape to the mountains or ocean every now and then and be inspired on the spot!
